its a matter of personal taste mate , you could always fit a later style grill if you wanted , the tabs are different but it will fit with a few tie wraps that cant be seen take a look in the members gallery and see what takes your fancy, i've got a reiger but theres mixed opinions on what looks good and doesnt , as i said its personal taste hth

i run an ignition controlled live to the leds otherwise they are difficult to see in the day and they look better prob takes a morning being careful but the good thing is that i you rip the dash pod out and take it in doors :-) no need for the steering wheel to come off just tilt it down and the pod unplugs and comes out

the relay for the seats is in the rear passenger side panel , i would check the wiring , even though they are clicking this only tells you they are receiving current ,just check the connections from there to the seats is good the relays clicking is a very good sign , this shows the switch and relays are good , both are very expensive for what they are i would unplug the loom under the seats and get a multi tester on there to check the current , its extremely unlikely all the elements have gone , its more likely someone has had the seats out and not plugged them back in mine are toasty within 5 mins hth Paul

awesome work as ever nathan just wondering but does tfr take the polish off or is it not that strong ? cheers
-
if the resistor was gone the heater would only work on no4 setting but yeah as Therapor, says theres loads of info on heaters if you search
-
just change the bulb on backing lights ? or is there no power getting to them ? pull the heater speed control knob off and clean the brass contacts this may cure your no3 speed , sparks arent normal but again could be due to dirty contacts the screeching from the fan is actually very common , its normally just the fan getting tired and will usually go if you leave it on for a while or you could drop the passenger side parcel shelf and take it out clean it and give it a spray with electrical cleaner or wd40 iirc the fan is the same as a mk2 golf hth

sooo true nick , i've tried this , buy a car you dont care about , fantastic idea ! run it til it dies , dont have to bother where you park it, no need to get wound up everytime you clean it and notice yet another fresh scratch or dent, dont have worry about certain new sounds or creaks it didnt work for me mate , i just felt like i'd lost a part of my life, theres an empty space, difficult to explain , you need to have been there , cars have and always will be a hobby/entertainment for me its difficult to advise tristan as none of us are fully aware of his circumstances and we all look for different things in cars for instance... something is broken on the car could mean - i'm sick to death of things going wrong and i cant afford to fix it - but to someone else it could be - great i've been dieing for an excuse to upgrade that part peaks and troughs , its the same with any relationship :-)

trig i had my mates s3 for the day and i wasnt impressed to be honest , it felt about as fast as the rado but a little too anonymous looking for my liking, certainly not a "SPECIAL" car in my eyes bloody hell i've only just realised how fussy i am lol , when i drive the rado it still puts a smile on my face and its a very individual car yes i've spent quite a bit on the car , with the respray and leather interior , koni's , bmc ,amp sub pods etc etc but i'm used to losing 3k + on a car per annum as i always buy cars that cost 15k+ so to be honest the rado has been cheap, just remember that usually the higher the price of a car the more % you lose each year... residuals suck and just to offer some perspective (sadly) , my mate who has 2 children split up with his wife a week ago and hung himself last saturday :-( , so .... live life mate these really are small decesions in the grand scheme... take care paul

alreet trig hmm the rado , they really are only small jobs but i know its the fact that the list will never end with on an older car , personally i think to own a rado it has to be an ongoing hobby i've had 16k put aside for a new car since last february and i still havent got one i've driven a boxster 3.2s , vx220, scooby , rs focus, audi TT and many others, i even had a 55 plate M3 convertible for the day (42k lol way too much) but they just dont have that x factor , the nearest was probably the VX220 turbo but i just dont know if i could live with it day in day out the rado is a bit noisy and unrefined compared to newer cars but and its a big but i find newer cars anaesthetize the driving experience , you feel detatched and soon the novelty of a quiet new car wears off the rado is a more "seat of yer pants" driving experience and the noise of the v6 is addictive, it still puts a smile on my face 2 1/2 yrs down the line the biggest problem for me is that parts are expensive and soon the price of a repair will outweigh the value of the car but the very worst thing about a corrado is ..... what the hell do you replace it with ??

totally superb ! do you ever sleep ?

Help! engine nearly cuts out when my lights are on!?
GIXXERUK replied to madmansi's topic in Engine Bay
i've found the the best way to mount the relays is upside down ,so water cant get into them , the in line fuses are a pita , i use an old bike inner tube to cover these as they are a magnet for water and corrosion in this damp weather -
looks superb mate, if it was an uneven field before then you have def added value to the property, always liked block paving car looks sweeeeet !
-
you're way too humble nick
-
you're not wrong about the pop ups :-(

It just goes from strength to strength nick , superb work !

It all starts with Volkswagen’s 2.0-liter FSI turbocharged four-cylinder powerplant, an award-winner for its unique combination of direct injection and turbocharging. APR also replaced the turbocharger with a larger Garrett ball-bearing unit with twice the flow capacity and pumped up the boost to 21 pounds per square inch. All of the pressure-side plumbing was strengthened with silicon hose. A large-diameter cast-aluminum, black powder-coated intake pipe feeds the big turbo the cool air it needs from the larger, front-mounted intercooler, delivering twice the stock air flow. An Inconel exhaust manifold and an APR stainless steel exhaust system ensure efficient flow-through. It’s a tidy, factory-like transformation, and the result is a whopping 375 horsepower, on 93 octane pump gas. If 100-octane race fuel is used, output rises to some 400 horsepower. http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm/co ... -sema-show  8)

i'd take the h/u out and check the connections and seating of the fuses inside the h/u , sounds like the amp is cutting out to me , if it was the connections you would lose all power and its unlikely to be the connections to all speakers
