  6. kinda the problem with my S3. 270+bhp, uprated springs, dampers, arbs and it doesn't feel that special till you look at the speedo and think  i've found this with most quick audi's that i've driven , its almost as if they are too safe , the TT is the same

  13. any noise or smell when it happens ? possibles.... water pump oil dripping on the inlet manifold from a breather pipe tensioner bearing seizing would make the belt smoke wiring problem (a live earthing) wiring chaffing is there any residue on the bonnet or inner wing ? check the inlet manifold mate , near the throttle body, sometimes i've known the breather pipes drip onto the hot manifold and give off smoke, look for staining Paul

  16. quote of the week Mr Wire................... " I've put too much time and money into it to get rid, and far too much driver enjoyment to turn my back on aswell Besides, most people either regret not buying a C when they had the chance, or getting rid of a C when they had one.....so by keeping it, I spare myself that!"
  17. jay if you use the "search" function theres a handy buyers guide on the forum :-) take someone with you who is familiar with the rado to view your future corrado :-) welcome back !! ;-) " THE CORRADO - NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS- ITS FOR LIFE !"
  18. http://www.clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1028204 shame about the red mk1, poor bloke, no brakes coming into camp at 130mph, and ahead of murray!! the tyre wall won that argument, at least he got out unscathed,
  19. my pump was noisy for about 12 months :-) , not a grinding sound ,more of a swishy sound :-) if i had known the vag part was that price i probably would have gone OE oh well, if the pump is leaking (vary degrees obviously)slightly you will probably feel a fine mist being sprayed up by the belt, any leakage at the left hand side of the engine is almost certainly due to the pump because nothing else carries coolant around there , unless its projectile leakage :-) all in all i was daunted by the job but its really a diy job , especially if you have done your engine mounts ;-)
  20. very nice jay , i borrowed my bro in laws 996 4s for 3 days and it took me months to get over it , i kid you not :-( he's gone to strathstones today to test drive the new turbo , hope he buys one , its the only way i'll drive one :-)
