  1. Speak to your insurance company, they should insure at hardly any extra cost. Ive been in the trade for 7years, i was told id get a good deal on a traders policy when i turned 25 (lastyear) but it wasnt even worth it in the end anyway. You should be able to just get a blanket policy as long as no one else is driving your cars.
  2. Good question, I was wondering this last week too. Anyone?
  3. Looking mean Daz, Neat work. Wheels look spot on. Bit off topic, but......Is that your blimin house?? LOL
  4. They dont send out the letters recorded delivery. Wheres the proof uve received anything in the post!! Within the last 2years ive known 3 young lads - 2 on bikes. who never replied to the notice. They never heard anything!!! Fair play to them. LOL
  5. I might try out a Collinite product, how long is the finish supposed to last with 915...do you have any links/contact number for Collinite distributors please Nathan?? Dont forget down the side of the seats  !
  6. I should be having a rest from wheels considering ive been through 3 sets in 4 months! But, does anyone have pics of C's with deep dishes on the rear and normal fronts? the same style wheels ideally?
  7. Are you having the Supaguard paintwork treatment or the Autoglym longlife? Or.....something different LOL? Looking forward to seeing the wheels back on.
  8. They just put "wax polish" on the tin to prevent criticism ya think!! JOBY - Thats a great colour C and the rims look spot on. Sounds like your person who likes their car in great condition - i got rid of such a tidy almost mint condition G60 for a VR which isnt upto my standard of condition on the bodywork, i still miss the G60  Unless you know a bodyshop, spraying is expensive and you prob wil struggle to find a spotless VR for cheap enough money.
  9. All depends how much of the hub they have to play round with but id say go for it, its only going to be fractions if they do skim some. gota keep those wheels man, so worth getting them as practical as u can.

Good to get mixed opinions!! I christened the new wheels last night by doing 140, Hahaha (im not proud of it though :-). Fastest ive been in a the Corrado- my G60 never done that. It still felt smooth on those wheels and tyres at that speed :-).

Thanks gents, i agree that TT's look great, but the just prefer the softer ride of the 16's plus i can corner harder without worrying about rubbing issues. I have both sets anyway, so if i do have issues with squeezing the big brakes and discs behind the Compomotives then i'll just get arches rolled and stick the TT's back on. Thanks for the comments, glad you all liked the TT wheels... i do too but have new ones now which are more practical and give a nicer ride imo. Ive have to start thinking 'go' over show now...... :(. Page 1 for new wheels.
  13. Id be interested in a set.
  14. Thats lovely..any links to more info on this car VR6-N.o.s?
  15. The Stig tests and rates 7 of this years hot hatches. Honda typeR Seat Leon cupra Astra VXR Focus ST Renault Megane R26 Mazda3 MPS Golf GTi edition 30 Its pretty good feature imo. Looks wise i think the Honda type R wins hands down. I was amazed that the Mazda has 256 bhp  out of a 2litre. Id personally choose the Astra.....if i had to! but still wouldnt want to spend 20K on any of them....rather turbo my VR  Which would you choose from the list??
  16. I have no idea about the workings of dumpvalves......what i do know for a fact is that Smart car have advised against pple fitting dump valves to their Smart cars as so many engines have been ruined as a result.....!
  17. EIP - rule. LOL that was prob running 600+ whp .
  18. Super resin does removw swirls, light scratches and has quite a good cut in it! but idoes depend how deep they are of course LOL.
  19. Buy it off her as cheap as you can anyway. Then decide!! You stand to make a profit eitherway if shes unaware of its value!!!! :-).
  20. what kit have you ordered mate?
  21. Is any one running this set up?....if its possible of course?
  22. I finally found a set of wheels i like 8x17 et 35 only and spoke to my trustee VW guru who said they would create fair bit of rubbing? Deciding on just getting them anyway, rubbing wouldnt be TOO bad would it? pple on here are running that size????
  23. COROZIN -good advice there, cheers. After more research and realising none of the wheels i want would fit, ive now accepted a change in style and been looking at more 'rally' type ones with no dish. muti spoke etc and found a fair few which i prob wont have any problems with. A set of Rota wheels!
