  1. Im excited as to how cheap your going to get all the parts James. I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread to find out the minimum cost of having a VRT. I bet ill be kicking myself :(
  2. Mine was removed without dropping the engine. 4 mechanics couldnt hold the box and had to let it drop 5 ft., so like you say, its stupidly heavy. Sorry i cant offer any technical/useful help :( . Good luck. Are you going manual now?
  3. Loved my g60 and still do. Just went the VRT route cos that was my dream car. Plus cant bare to have a good looking car that isnt fast, so had to have it all
  4. Ahhh yes in that case standalone is a must if your always gona change and fiddle. i dont have the understanding or time to mess around, so I just take it out and floor it
  5. Not necessarily true buddy. My boost controller works great and is really handy for those wet days :)
  6. Oh right, no i havent (ill go look now). Thats more reassuring then! I figured it was prob more as The Phirms Goof is runnig 16psi which prob takes the torque to 400ish with the Helix. Thats some good figures, surely you must be 'content' with that so far LOL. 15psi....why not Kev!!!! :D Ill soon find out what 10 and 15 psi feels like in January i guess :)
  7. It must be making around 350-400lb/ft right Kev??
  8. What about 'Ramair' air filter - large and less than £100.00 ? Sold my BMC for it too.
  9. Santa visited me early! :D Brand new Peloquin!
  10. I got mine from C&R last year but didnt like the fact that you have to drill into the body work to fit these, you need 2 as the Corrado bonnet is heavy.
  11. ha ha. Thats amusing. The deranged laugh at the end is contagious!
  12. 8) Oh YEAH BABY! Thats the only Focus id wanna be seen in...especially if its 450bhp - 800bhp like other true Skylines.
  13. Hence why the government are so keen on marketing the idea of "global warming" so they can justify increasing/additional Tax, tax, tax to Profit, Profit, Profit. Just like releasing all the health scare campaigns on 'social drinking at home' recently just before increasing the price of alcohol etc..
  14. Prices are disgraceful. I couldnt afford to have my C if it wasnt a weekend/2nd vehicle. I would have to do a Polo diesel conversion i think! :(
  15. What actually caught/caused the fire on that then?...just so i can make sure it is doesnt happen to me!!!
  16. Im going to remove my big brakes especially to fit a set of these. Cant bear the thought of not having a set.
  17. Any recommendations of a company to use for sending a Corrado interior! Thanks
  18. AHHHHHH my brain hurts trying to remember!!! Ford escort 1.4 - fatally bad brakes Ford fiesta 1.1 - good runaround Minty XR2 - crashed it Suzuki supercarry - Earned me money Renault clio - ragged it Suzuki carry 1.3 - Continue to abuse it Corrado G60 - loved it and miss it. Corrado VRT - My dream car sinced aged 19 :)
  19. Im glad we have some realistic comments in this post as opposed to paper figures. I DO think its worth comparing a modded 10k car to 35k+ cars because it goes to show you can have just the same fun and speed experience without spending stooopido amounts of wonga. Clearly if we were the sort of people that could afford to lose 40k on a car car outright then mod it further we wouldnt be on here. ...or maybe we would if we were overtaken by a 500bhp Corrado on a dual carriage way race
