It's very common for cars to be built a few months in advance of the registration date.

Welcome to the forum m8 8) I'm assuming that you've checked the oil level - i.e.there is enough oil in the car ??
-
AFAIK - ABS was a cost option on the G60 ? Although many of them have it fitted - including mine.

How to test your boost levels - UK spec cars 1. Start Engine 2. Move the MFA selector to "2" 3. Press and hold the MFA end button (keep holding) 4. Stop engine 5. Start engine 6. Release the MFA end button. 7. Press the MFA End button one time. You should now see 450-800 readings fluctuating with idle. Anything higher than 800 is not right (vacuum leak). Much less than 450 is probably too much timing advance. Go run your car!!! 3rd and 4th gear to REDLINE. Carefully note the highest #'s you've got. A pullied charger should not make less than 11.6psi, and even so, thats weak. A Stock charger should make ~~11psi in perfect shape! EURO Hg(#'s of boost/vacuum) Comments 200 -23.7 400 -17.8 600 -11.9 800 -5.9 1000 0 (Atmosphere- ala no boost, charger is bypassed) 1200 2.9 psi (Your charger is dead or big boost leak) 1400 5.8 psi (Your charger is about dead or big boost leak) 1600 8.7 psi (Your charger needs new apex strips or big boost leak) 1800 11.6 psi (Great for stock pulley, Probably needs new apex strips if 68mm pulley) 2000 14.5 psi (Great for 68mm pulley on stock charger) 2200 17.4 psi (Great for 68mm pulley on heavily ported charger, hold on to your ass fast!!) :rambo: 2000 and up folks need to be careful with fueling, as the programming maps end at about 2000 on the ecu :) Dynotuning, and air/fuel/egt gauge, and custom chip recommended courtesy of http://www.snstuning.com

Nice looking car m8 - welcome to the forum 8)

Your studs will be far less likely to snap if an experienced mechanic does the work for you - there is a method for reducing the possibility of stud breakage. If the studs have been loose (causing manifold to leak) there is also a possibility that the manifold will warp/crack once removed. The manifold may even be leaking bacause it is already cracked !! Luck tends to play a big part in what may happen. Some good garages are listed here - http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5638

I doubt your water could evaporate out of a sealed cooling system :? Have you checked here - http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9443 U need to be looking for coolant residue which the leak will leave behind

exhaust knocking off rear axle problem can be solved
stevemac replied to Dick Dastardly's topic in Archive
I doubt my knocking problem could be cured by a bracket. The problem that I have is that the rear shocker mounting bolt hits the silencer. If the exhaust was re-positioned it would catch the rear bumper. The problem exists because my car is lowered by approx 80mm & this moves the shocker mounting bolt closer to the widest part of the silencer. The only cure that I can see would be to re-shape the silencer - put a dent in it where it catches on this mounting bolt. I wonder why none of the manufacturers have considered this ?? -
How about lengthening the pipe & re-routing it back accross the front of the car behind the bumper air ducts ? Larger pipe surface area = more cooling ?

what do you mean when you say you "can feel it" ??

The extra info is used most commonly for checking the boost pressure on G60's but it shows other things too.

Fancy a laugh? This was once a Vauxhall Corsa....

Only method I know is for the G60 - 1. Start Engine 2. Move the MFA selector to "2" 3. Press and hold the MFA end button (keep holding) 4. Stop engine 5. Start engine 6. Release the MFA end button. As you press the MFA button it will take you through the extra features. I can't remember if my old Scirocco (similar K-Jetronic injection system as the 1.8-16v) had the extra MFA features or not.

Extra expense of changing shockers too though - can usually get away with just springs upto 35-40mm

I think the chips are calibrated for a specific fuel pressure. Most are for the standard 3bar FPR & SNS chips are for the 3.5bar FPR
