  1. well maybe if you got a KKK04 turbo version, the 225, and very tuneable, everything comes to an end at some point, let the fun begin!
  2. maybe whack in a vr inlet manifold aswell, I am definitley lazy, hence i am a bit of a torque lover, but also a closet fan of vtecs, lol
  3. I think 180 is a safe bhp for the valver whilst keeping costs within reason. I'm going thru quite a dark stage with the vr, at the moment I'm considering selling it but I will decide for certain when I get it back from the garage. You could feed a 3rd world country with the amount I've spent on mine!
  4. I bet a lot of Superbikes are cheaper to run than my C! lol, but, you have a crash doing some speed on a bike and it's instant death, atleast in a car you have a chance. I've also been on the new KTM, wow, it's bloody amazing!
  5. it does look a bit bland, but there is something I like about it, maybe because it is quite subtle and stealthy.
  6. http://cars.msn.co.uk/carnews/SpyShotsClioFeb05/ I hope they keep it somewhere along those lines because it looks pretty good. And looks like VW will bottle out of making a proper hot version with the new 2.0T lump, still the PD140 version will be very interesting since it's so much lighter than the golf. 8)
  7. LOL, Rack! Only like the 5's onwards, and everyone I have talked to says the YAW control is brilliant and makes the car handle much better so I would go with that, but no way is an evo3 better than a new Subaru, certainly not a WR1, That boxer engine is the best sounding 4 pot I have ever heard. But this price range is dangerously close to skylines/Supras that IMO are a bit more classy, and I love RWD! Have you considered getting a nice late nissan 200 for about 5-6k and spend 1k and you have 280bhp through the rear wheels.
  8. those Proxes have to be had! I checked out blueflame who do exhausts and brakes and they have a type of cross drilled brake that is very light, will help with handling and maybe even acceleration, sorry not sure if they do a kit for the Corrado but maybe they will do a custom one or you can just fit a different VAG model one.
  9. Have to agree 0-60 is very meaningless figure. I know VAG are very conservative with there figures eg the Ibiza TDI 130 has recorded 0-60 times over a second quicker in some road tests, and I know the Clio Cup has also done 0-60 in the very low 6s when the official time is 6.8. I love bikes and have had the pleasure of riding the R1, but I would only own one as a toy. For me, cars will always be cooler, like has been said, you are warm and dry, you can enjoy music and chat with your friends etc, thats where the bike loses.
  10. I do like the look there ben, quite futuristic, like some kind of space ship, brilliant!
  11. I would probably say around the 6k mark, although it's difficult to say, but if people do have an objection it will be because it's an auto, so If you convert to manual it will become much more in demand, oh and renshaws Porsche seats look pretty tasty too.
  12. just had an idea- I think it's the Noble that has that really cool rev counter? It starts off blue and turns red as it nears the red line, very trick.
  13. unless you want to go the more time consuming route like renshaw, but I think he has the best interior of any C I have ever seen.
  14. Hopefully you went for a Leon 225, looking forward to seeing what car it is.

    Audi TT

I'm also a builder and take it from me, I have worked with a gang that earn up to £400 a day!!!!!!!!!! but they are maniacs. You get tennis elbow by 40 so best to get out early. Back to topic- I would only get the 225, 180 just seems a bit panzy- and you know the saying, all show and no go. The final nail in the coffin was the so solid crew- the video where one of them says "Is that mega, in a tt" so cringing. Would defo get a Leon R 225 on 18's, remapped will whoop a TT.
  16. I didn't think the Auto-manual conversion was that expensive? suppose it's subjective, like you, the only time I have to spend on my car is for minor things, surely you could get this done for under £800? Or you could just advertise it for a really high price lol and see if anyone bites. Still, you will be waiting a while for another one as good as yours.
  17. Hello, Well I'm not a techie despite managing to do an I.T/Media degree but I think I have sussed it with these pics, so here goes, about time! Should have some more up in the coming weeks.
  18. Very impressed, that would be the transplant I'd go for I think, keeps in sync with the old VR, let me know if you ever want to sell, I'm there lol.
  19. they do look very good, and of course black is the best colour, lol, but there are no two ways about it IMO the ride/handling will not be as good as standard
  20. true but diesels have practically no lag anyway copared to a petrol turbo, so makes sense for a turbo (that is not connected to the crank) and less restrictive top end where the diesel suffers.
  21. yea, don't leave that baby out on the street, even if you can't tell whats lurking under the bonnet. Must be pretty rapid tho heh? lol
  22. well it has been proven to work although not as effectivley as a turbo, I think, lol
  23. Actually I meant twin turbo diesel but I think you could be on to something there, but only if they could shoehorn the 3.0 V6 TDI in there, otherwise would just seem like marketing shpeel and not really satisfy us enthusiasts.
  24. the arches are a bit pointless, I have to stick my neck out and say the only VW's I like are Corrado's obviously and MK1/2 gti's. If I could change one thing it would have to be to make it RWD as mentioned
