far more sensible than my suggestion, but mine would be way more fun!!

NOS! if not you would need a custom map to get the actuator to close earlier and start making boost quicker

only use a 20vt from a mk4 golf, octavia, tt, seat. not a passat or audi (much easier to fit) you need to use a rear engine mount and front engine mount from you 16v engine. you can use your 16v gearbox and its mount for the 3rd mount. you can use a g60 rad or something similar size. you need an intercooler of some sort with the associated piping how are you planning to wire the engine up? stand alone or oe managment? the engine bolts in piece of pee. the wiring can be difficult. you dont need to do anything with the pedal box if you use stand alone engine managment, you use a throttle cable. the conversion can be easy if you are prepared to spend the money on stand alone managment. i did mine in a couple of weeks in the evenings and weekends

You keep confusing the issue though IMO, it's not about 'JJ' or 'he' this and 'holiday' that - you placed an order through the BBSLMREPS.CO.UK website and 'they' failed to deliver - it's BBSLMREPS.CO.UK that are responsible, not an individual - you either need to maintain that, or re-direct this thread towards the individual that you feel has knocked you. you are quite correct sir, JJ is the contact i have had with this company, hence my referral to him. but it is BBSLMREPS that has had my money. im still under the impression that BBSLMREPS is JJ's business. BBSLMREPS-avoid.

his last email said his supplier had failed to deliver the wheels, and he still had my deposit, what did i want to do. i sent a reply on the same day some 3 hours later which stated that i could not wait any longer (2months late already) and that i would like my deposit back. the trail went cold after that. that was on the 30th of july. he was obviously aware of the situation and i find it hard to believe that anyone would just ignore a problem like this. he may well be on holiday, however he has not said anything to me. had he said something, and said we will sort it out when i come back from holiday, then fair enough. how am i supposed to know what he is doing? the only reason to believe he could be on holiday is because someone on here said so. so unless he tells me otherwise, i have to assume he is in the country and refusing to deal with this problem. if he is out of the country, then this is not the way to run a business anyway

his last email to me was sent on 30th of july. ive sent 5 since then with no reply, including a response 3hours after his last email. ive been chasing the order since the end of may.

that is indeed the situation, and i am completely entitled to my money back. i am happy to say that as i am very clear about the facts after speaking to the councils consumer advice department. the issue will be passed on to trading standards tomorrow when i complete the details of the case. im not going to just roll over and say its ok and never mind, its only £100. i work bloody hard to earn that money and im not about to give it up without a fight. oh, and on a lighter note, do i get a tin of spam mr VR6?

when i enquired about some wheels via the sales@bbslmreps email, this JJ chap emailed me back from the email address tuningmeister@hotmail.... to deal with the transaction. i assumed it was his website. so that is how it all started.

well thanks for the support guys, i was getting fed up the bully boy tactics going on here. the issue has not been resolved, and i AM entitled to my deposit back. the supplier could not deliver the item within the agreed time scale, so irrespective of my decision to purchase items elsewhere, i am entitled to my money back. to use your analogy, if you put a deposit on a car and they said they could not get it for you after saying they could, you would want your money back. its as simple as that. as far as i was concerned, JJ WAS BBSLMREPS and was never told any different. the matter is being taken up by trading standards, so im sure they will find out who is who in this saga.

am i in the wrong here or something? :help:
-
so its a website that advertises selling wheels?
-
On reflection I would prefer this to play out vwdeviant but I appreciate your concerns. Again, from the outside looking in (as i'm having to do here) the whole setup is confusing but I agree with what you said and feel that it is worth pointing out that the website was setup as a favour to co-ordinate the group buy for forum members and isn't directly associated with the guy who has actually been RUNNING the group buy. Exactly which is why I feel for the parties involved not using BBSLMREPS in the title's fair... Rob's beef is with [email protected] as he's admitted... neither of the parties who were directly involved in the website have seen any of the alledged money. so where does [email protected] come into the equation? that email address and JJ were linked with that website. and im not having a go at you, but can you see my predicament? Rob

i was wary Kev, which is why i only paid a deposit, not the full amount when he asked. was going to collect the wheels in person and pay cash when they arrived. what is the world coming to hey :cuckoo:

ive sent the chap numerous emails, to which some were replied. and as soon as i said i got some wheels elsewhere and i wanted my deposit back as he could not fulfil the deal, all went quiet. if he is on holiday then someone else should be sorting this out or he should say something. you cant run a business by just ignoring people. i have heard some people have got their stuff, but i havent. i can only go on my experience. other people can feel free to put their 2 pence worth in, but im sure you can appreciate my position which is the reason why i have started this thread. you have to remember that this is my experience and opinion, which i feel i am entitled to express. if people dont want their name tarnished, then dont mess them about, simple.

the order was placed with JJ at bbslmreps.co.uk i got his number and email address through their website. i dont know the politics about the company or the website. whoever it was was quite happy to "sell" me some wheels and what have you. [email protected] is his email address. i got this from the site and also the contact number. if he has left then its not my problem, and as far as i am concerned the bbslmreps has my money. if you call any of the numbers on the site you get sod all response. so i will happily air my gripe about this, for which i feel entitled. if the "company" want to share their side then feel free.

just want to air my bad experience of bbslmreps.co.uk. i placed an order with them in april with a deposit of £100. still have no wheels and no communication. i know of another who is in the same boat aswell. so my advice is to steer clear. this is fraud as far as im concerned. so before anyone else makes the mistake of ordering from them please, do not bother! regards, Rob
-
i dont know if they are connected. thats where i got the website from though
-
cheers Tom. well i payed through paypal. i tried contacting them and because it wasnt through ebay, then there was nothing they could do (from what i understand). i can see their point though. what goes around comes around though, and the internet is a very easy way to make or break a business. if not ive got his address :norty:
-
thats fair enough, sorry about that. but if it helps anyone else then it ha sto be worth it
-
BBSLMREPS.co.uk put a deposit on a set of wheels in april, £100, due at the end of may, then june, then july. got no wheels, never answer phone or email. im not the only person either. so i would avoid guys. and i dont take this lightly either, but i dont take losing my money lightly either

my MBE management is very smooth on part throttle and has no idle issues. its shouldnt if its set up properly. cold starts are also fine. real easy to wire up and intergrate into the original corrado wiring loom.
-
the ecu isnt worth alot i wouldnt have thought, but i would ditch it and go stand alone. not as refined as standard ecu and control, but you can ditch alot of the secondary air system which allows for a neater install.

its an m8 spline bit for the driveshafts if i recall. just remember t8o tap them in a bit as they will be full of crap and you really dont want to round them off! no other special tools required the worst part about removing the g60 is the exhaust, its a real biatch to remove. once you get that unbolted, the front end out, engine mounts undone, clutch slave disconnected, wiring removed, shifter cables disconnected then you can jack the engine and box up and pull out the front! its easy when you get into it. ive taken one out in 2 hours!

its windscreen excess isnt it? unless you know a glassfitter.. :)
