that could have been the motor in the throttle body making that noise. i would have thought you would have noticed a difference if that did the trick. have you called the people who re mapped it?
-
well a ko3 wont make 20 psi. i know boost is only a measurement of restriction, but im assuming he has nothing obscure going on in the intake side. the later k03(s) is running flat out at 20/21psi, i know that because that is how mine is running! :norty: ko4 should be on the way though
-
i wouldnt have thought you would be making 20 psi in limp mode! almost certainly not infact. if you can find someone with vagcom local (assuming your conversion has the diagnostic plug still) then do that. the dealer will do it if not. i would give them a ring. im sure they will be able to help you out. hopefully it will be something silly, but it does sound like you are not making what you should be making in my opinion
-
i would have said that those figures are not so good for what you are running. i have the same turbo, running the turbo flat out at 21psi and it makes 247 at the fly. i do have a custom map on stand alone managment, but it doesnt sound like my set up is much different. can you use vag com on your engine set up? maybe a sensor is playing up? does it feel any slower than normal?
-
which turbo is it? how much boost are you running? was that at the wheels or th flywheel?
-
mine idles at around 1000rpm. doesn't really change after warming up
-
must be flowing well if its making good power with low boost figures. boost pressure is only a measurement of the pressure that is built up in the inlet manifold. in theory this is almost a waste as it means that the restrictions in your cylinder intake are such that the compressed air is not being fully used. have you had any cylinder head work done?

Too right! My 1 lap in the R8 was enough to convince me I needed to start doing the lottery... or rob a bank! I opted for the former rather than the latter   now i know how you are getting your money, i want a cut so i dont tell the feds who did the robbery :norty: i wont be greedy, just 20% is fine! -

was that the chap from evo magazine running the 2 lambos and aston? always read about that in the magazine and think lucky barsteward! -
i had them, then took them out. genuine parts only

my mate made 340 on his gt23, went really well if you are going with the vw management, i would listen to Kev as it sounds like he has some good experience with the polo engine. if you are going stand alone, it wont matter which engine you get as long as it post 2002 i run a rallye intercooler in mine, but there are a few coolers that will fit into the corrado Rob
-
you cant fit a VR box to the 1.8 bottom end, wrong bell housing. you will have to swap the gears over. are you going to be using the VW ECU then rather thsn going standalone? Rob
-
1.8t everytime!
-
yeah that was at pod. i was running under 15 all day (18 runs), but as it was so hot the boost was backing off :bad-words:
-
ive run a 14.2 in my 20v turbo on a very hot day with rubbish tires. will be aiming for high 13's when the weather improves slightly
-
now, im no electrician, but i can see there is a problem with that loom....there are only 3 plugs?!?! :epicfail:
-
finally converted to forced induction corrados then? you need a go in my turbo, makes the g feel slow
-
you didnt say they were ok did you? never enough sarcasm, there is always room for more! im just freakin dandy, what about you?
-
swap the leads over?! simple stuff rather than messing around with injectors or have you forgotten about fault finding on cars?!
-
it might be worth giving ben at qpeng a call and see if he can recommend any tests for you
-
there is some adjustment on the gearbox end of the shifter cables, so you could try there
-
everybody should fit one to their corrado! saves you reaching into the back seat for 2nd and 4th gear! dont think there is any adjustment on the shifter, but dont hold me to that as i fitted it so long ago!
-
ask Ben which connectors you will need. there are a few you will need, but they are only a few quid each. i also got one of their downpipes as the original 20v will not will. i have changed the water pump on mine, they do fail sometimes. i just got a replacement with a plastic impellor, its just worth changing while you have the engine out.
