TB's themselves are not super expensive although I think that the management required and the rolling road set-up time puts them in similar price territory to forced induction.

Thanks Henny, I feel warm inside now. (Although it is held in with Marley flashing tape folded in on itself) :silly: Perhaps Dubster82 would like to buy mine off me for the sum of £100?
-
Oh dear. Dubster82 :notworthy: - If I have rubbed you up the wrong way perhaps I can give you my address and you can come and egg me and then cover me in flour or something. It was just something that I've never seen before on another C :confused4:

Was the Uno turbo quick?

Didn't notice that actually and I'm 6 foot 2. We bought an Alpine head unit and some Fusion speakers for it last night!

IMO there's nothing more sexy than a girl who likes cars. Check out VBH for instance. :luvlove: I've been trying for 3 years to get my g/f into cars and explain how internal combustion engines work and she's finally got a decent car! (see MX5 post)

What an array of vehicles!

Cool site (found on Dubforce) :) http://www.keveney.com

Indeed. Mine had a Magnex system, BMC CDA filter, Koni dampers, lowered 40mm, std wheels, and nice install. It was great fun without looking pikey at all.

N reg 1.4L Mk 4 Polo > Y reg Saxo VTR (98bhp) > J reg G60 I miss the VTR actually.

It does look a bit satin in the pics! I think it's a great car and the best thing about is that it's not hermatically sealed in a garage and only taken to shows. It's driven daily as it should be. :)

My g/f's came with a hard top which is really nicely made and I believe worth nearly a grand!! The problem is that we live in a 2 up 2 down terrace (SE house prices!) and have nowhere to keep it other than in the living room where it currently is! It's just longing for more power though. I keep trying to make the g/f part with the £1795 necessary for a Jackson Racing S/C conversion! I do look like a bit of a mincer in it though, it's quite a girlie colour! Still, it's such a pleasure to hustle along and the gear change is so precise, no cable change slaggyness.

Can't you buy a big slab of generic bonnet sound proofing that you can cut to size yourself? *edit* Just Google'd this website which might be useful: http://www.noisekiller.co.uk/materials.php

She's had the car for 2 days and driven it about 15 miles. I've driven it about 80! It is such a wicked car.
-
Tidy car. Why "weedwhacker"? I'm intrigued! :)
-
Don't make the garage think that you need 4 wheel alignment though as the C is only adjustable at the front. I'm sure there are lots of places that will tell you they've done the 4 wheel alignment to make an easy buck :)

The plot thickens "mod-edit-pic thumbnailed" -

The front Mk4 lights look awful, absolutely hideous. The back's OK though. What's the point of putting gauges in the engine bay?
-
I got wishbones with bushes already in and they were v. cheap from GSF. It would have probably worked out more expensive only getting the bushes owing to the labour involved in pressing out the old ones and pressing in the new ones. For the sake of a few quid I thought it would be wise to replace the 115,000 miles wishbones with new ones.

I hope that they were quick up the strip, otherwise they've got nothing going for them. They both look like monkeys f***ing footballs IMO.

***UPDATE*** He's gone on holiday and hasn't chased up my shocks at all. He was at some Max Power event last week as well.

Could have been Inca blue like mine. It does look very bright in certain lights? Pic below was on a cloudy day though ***mod edit - pic thumbnailed - stevemac***

Originally I think they were made by Veilside but like all wicked exclusive Rice rims they've been copied by BK etc. Not on a Corrado though methinks.

16VG60's doesn't use the 16v inlet manifold as his rocker cover is fully exposed. I have some pics at home that I can post up later (if I can remember!)
