Nice, where did you get the cage from? The usual company for getting them here doesnt seem to do them for the corrado.

Fitting Coilovers, what's all best to replace / uprate ?

Groupbuy on bushes here: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight= Id say get the lot, and replace the top mounts with vag vr6 ones. -
The Judge's G60, total rebuild...finished (almost) NEW PICS

Is that a subaru colour? -
Got poly bushes all round on mine and think they were well worth the money, I definately prefered the handling after the rears were replaced.

Going by the sig id say its a 1.8t, Greddy and Pace are usually associated with turbos. Maybe even a vr6t? -
Id probably say your running the dampers a bit hard, try leaving the front a bit softer so it rolls a bit to dig in then set the balance with the rears. The floaty feeling could be down to the alignement, a bit extra camber on the front is always good, dunno how much you would want on a g60 though as vr's suspension set up is different. Also get a degree of toe out to improve your turn in.

Does anyone else think the've put a bit too much understeer into GT4? A lot of the cars really dont seem to corner as I would expect. They only seem to grip right with race medium tyres or softer, but then the wear is just a bit excesive. I got fed up with it and went back to pgr2 on xbox, roll on forza.

Should have mentioned, as Reggit said, it is the main engine harness connector.
-
Try twisting it clockwise slightly, might just not be clipped in right.
-
tbh I do find this clip more believable than the last ones, them cupras make 200+bhp with just a remap and are lighter than a vr. Still think its a slightly rolling start, possibly downhill and the last 16v vids were definately fake. :-P
-
This another one of your rolling start down a hill vids. :-P

No, the abs rings are seperate to the disks on the front so no need to change them, its worth replacing them if you change the rear disks as well though.
-
Yeah, was a bit of a nuisance when the brake hoses wouldnt detach from the copper pipes, ended up having to get them renewed as well. Any idea when your brake fluid was last changed? Could just be needing that replaced and decent pads, wont help the looks and probably not the juddering either though.
-
Id heard them disks actually worked very well, u just changing them because of the looks?
-
There normally ok at the front, rears use an allen head bolt though and round easily so its worth getting replacements for them before starting.
-
Ive used them a few times as well and found them very good, all my brakes and engine iirc.
-
Found out this morning that the vr is ready for collection, yay. Also was outbidded on the jetta so looks like the vr is staying for the moment.

I like it. Porsche have done for the boxter what bmw done for the z3 by making the M Coupe. 8)
-
Id maybe take 5k without the schrick and cams, couldnt go below that though.
-
Aint gonnae happen. :) I quite like the Jetta, and apparently they handle better than Golfs due to less flex at the rear and better weight distribution. The reserve is also set at a reasonable price.
-
Thats what I was thinking, especially considering the engine is getting new chains/tensioners and some other bits and bobs before it goes in.

See, im thinking of buying this and a bike, with cash left over.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 4539961306

About 112k and full history.
-
Or do what I done the last time and jack it up by the rear beam.

...now that its had a replacement engine? Basically the spec is as follows: But at the moment the engine is being replaced as the old one suffered from big end failure. Cams will be swapped so the spec will remain the same. The replacement engine came from a reputable vw breaker, has 69k on it and came from an auto so wont have been thrashed, its currently being fitted by Awesome gti and Andy there reckons the engine looks brand new internally. Bad points of the car would be a dink on the bonnet and a few minor scrapes on the front and rear bumpers, nothing major. The car has had a lot spent on it the last few years and has been maintained regardless of cost. The reason im kinda thinking of selling this time (I know ive done this before) is that im getting of the opinion the corrado isnt the ideal car for the track use id want to put it through, I want something cheaper that I wont feel guilty about stripping out and fitting a roll cage and bucket seats to, and something I dont need to worry about having any minor offs in, a car I can basicaly take a hammer to and straighten out panels if necessary and where bits are cheap to replace. Ive got an idea of what i want from the corrado but due to the fact the engine has been replaced im not sure what its worth, what do you think?
