  2. I reckon the cheaper price is probably the mk4 24v sump, and its likely different from the 12v one.
  3. Cool, been thinking this could be a good way to go in future, get something for track thats cheaper to repair than the C. What did u go for?

    ABS query

I "think" when the abs records a fault then it should shut the system down, and not reactivate until the next time the car is started with no codes. If the lights on your brakes should just feel like a car with no abs.

    ABS query

You can get intermittent faults on the sensors, usually its down to them being dirty though rather than knackered.
  8. The mk4 sump covers up most of where the inspection cover goes, only bit thats not covered is where one of the bolts used to go. Nothing to worry about.
  9. Replacement engine is going in at the moment. I reckon you should be ok with that, mine has never actually been hit and I dont think there was a big difference in height between our cars.
  10. I should also mention I think this is a vag part, fitted as standard to the american mk4 12v vr6.
  11. ... going on just now on vr6oc here Normal Price of these sumps are £127.99 + VAT... If between 10-20 would like to order these, there will be a discount of between 10 and 15%. Contact VR6Pete on there if you want to buy one, im down as a definate as ive already lost an engine due to oil surging which is exactly what these will prevent. Advantages of a baffled sump: Prevents oil surging during hard cornering. Increased oil capacity. Alloy so helps to cool the oil more than a standard sump. Disadvantages: Possibly sits a bit lower, so would be more prone to hitting the ground on very low cars. Alloy, so if it does hit the ground it could crack or shatter instead of denting like the standard sump.
  12. Banana Man, nice one. :thumbleft: Quite like the bottom one with the lights all darkened out. Would be ideal with the tinted inpros.
  13. Only thing missing is a Kamei style eyebrow spoiler, could be just the finishing touch needed...
  14. buddha or budda? Username was something like that.

    VR6 air box mods

Sounds like its already been removed. You can make it louder by cutting the complete corner out the box, though its obviously not reversable. Have a look here to see what I mean: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 9436#39436 Ive recently also found out this is actually louder than fitting an induction kit.
  16. Will be interesting to see how bright they are compared to standard.
  17. Ive had a go at a few ctr's and there was always nothing in it. That was when my car was running 193bhp though so you should win.
  18. Queens of the Stoneage - Lullabies to Paradise Death from Above 1979 - You'r a woman, im a machine Billy Idol - Devils Playground
  19. Apparently tsr will fo it for £11160.00 keeping it fwd. Would be interesting to see how they manage it.
  20. The number I have for them that works is 01592 655 595

    288mm brakes

Same as the '97 on mk3 vr6, mk4's are possibly the same as well. Difference is it fits to the caliper with a banjo bolt.

    288mm brakes

i found them a huge improvement, but then the brakes i had before were well worn.
