  1. Count me in as a definate as well, fully smoked.
  2. Are the recaros still available? The leather ive gots a bit slippy and ive been considering a change of interior...
  3. I reckon you should try and work out some way of getting a drive in it as you might be dissapointed. I'm a big vr fan but id definately rather have your modded g60 over a standard vr, even if it does have the recaros.
  4. Just checked my receipt from Star and it says 2xlinks £10 each, is this something else then?
  5. i had new links fitted with the eibachs and they were only somethin like 10 or 15 each.
  6. Whats up with the 200sx, always quite liked them.
  7. Loads of dust from both sets of Pagids. Worth it though for the stopping power.
  8. NSX is cool, and starting prices are about £15k now. Pretty expensive on maintenance the few times they go wrong though, they eat clutches and its £1800 to get a new one fitted.
  9. The diesels feel quick as you dont have to drop gear as often. Its pretty irrelevant though if your really going for it. For example, if you were wanting to get from 30-50 in the clio as quick as possible it would be done in 2nd, but in the mondeo you would need to be in third, compare the times in them gears and you should see how much quicker the clio is.
  10. And probably the peakiest powerband of any of the vtec's, as well as poor standard seats down to Honda assuming most of them would be stripped out and turned into full on track cars.
  11. Ill go for a set of fully smoked, at that price it would be rude not to, besides, if I dont like them I reckon a bit of profit could be made on ebay.
  12. Perhaps most engine designers choose injectors (or FPRs) with the right capacity/flow rate to allow a 1.5ms injector opening at idle? Perhaps all cylinder sizes require around the same amount of fuel to maintain tickover? Who knows? Who cares? Anyway, mine runs at 3.5ms at idle, according to VAGCOM. It'll drop to 1.5ms on overrun program. But maybe the engine wasn't fully warmed up yet? It might be more simple than that. Maybe its the quickest the injectors can open and close and its not possible to get the time below that.
  13. I think theres a bit more to f1 engines and its not worth making a comparison. Check out this vid: http://www.renaultf1.com/php/vidpopup2. ... 24_220.wmv
  14. Isnt the oil cooler on a thermostat so that the car should warm up as normal?
  15. So really the best way to map a car would be to drive it about with the operator in the passenger seat with his laptop instead of on a rolling road?
  16. Have I ever had an issue with or mentioned anything about vr's vs g60's in this thread, i was actually going to vote for henny until phat posted his r32 engine pics. Asim, on the forum as moonlight vr's motor made more than that (210) standard at stealth. Just to clear it up, the only point I was trying to make was that phats car was faster than hennys due to gearbox, not engine.
  17. totally relevant to the fact that you're telling me that standard vr's make 207 bhp but backing it up with zero evidence. its like a thread on the vortex in here, only theres more VR owners... No graph for you but heres a list of results and witnesses, vr6pauls car is the standard vr im talking about. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... cottish+rr Now that is a totally different issue.
  18. Have you tried a trial fit? that looks like the lhd gauges to me.
  19. Never said mine was standard, but I know of standard ones that have made more. In fact, there was one made 210bhp at the forums rr day november'03, mine made 199.5 then. (Exaust blowing badly at time.) Is any of this relevant though?
  20. 190bhp standard for the 2.9, mine made 205 with scorpion exaust and k&n filter. Others have made more.
  21. cos that makes sense :s if its not the engine that makes it quick it must be? ... the driver, yeah, cos hes lightweight?! or the wheels? The 6 speed gearbox, phats 12v engine wasnt drastically modified from what I read, and made 207bhp I think when he had it in his golf. Some standard vr's put that out. I voted for his R32 engine.
  22. This won't make sense from the first post as it was split off from a thread.. but read through to get the idea. That oh so timeless debate... -- jimsg60 It wasnt the engine that made your car quick though. :-P
  23. Check out this thread for a reasonably priced big bore throttle body: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11119
