The back wasnt me. , I honestly dont know if it was like that when I got the car as I noticed it a while after getting it back from storage. It isnt bad and is more like a few scratches close together. Polish does hide it pretty well (hence you never noticed it) but id still like to get it sorted.

Remove passenger door panel to try and find an annoying rattle and replace the nonexistant plastic membrane. Get some bodywork touched up. (A few stonechips, scrapes on front and back bumpers.) And a clean.

£250 is actually a lot cheaper than I expected from Pentagon, was thinkin it would be more like £400. Cheers :thumbleft:
-
Where are you getting the windows done? Im considering it for the future but Pentagon seem expensive.

Drivers do custom Powerflow exausts, they quoted my cousin £280 for a cat-back.
-
Thats a good result, is the car modded other than remap?
-
How do you drive it, I get about the same as that most of the time but thats with putting the foot down a bit on the motorways. If I take it easy and avoid pressing the pedal hard enough to get the induction roar then I get about 32mpg (motorways).

lol@Supercharged, I did expect smoke but not that much.

I used something called 10k boost on my 16v a few years back and have to say it did make a difference that I noticed, the car seemed to rev easier and fuel consumption improved. Its strange though, the amount of smoke that comes out the back of the car while its been sprayed, just watch were your parked as I had a wall black with all the crap that came out the exaust. I will be giving this PowerBoost a go.

Its a bit different on the vr though compared with the g60, the plugs are set pretty far down and u need to use a special tool that looks like an apple corer to clip on the lead ends.
-
Go back into the dealer and ask for tool T10029 , This is for the metal Hazet version, I got mine for £12.00 + vat.

G60Renshaw, welcome to the forum, seen the pics of the dash and it looks like a great job. Wouldnt mind more info on climatronic, if u have a list of bits needed any chance you could post them up for a C without air con. Cheers
-
Nice one, ill add that to my list of jobs to do. Am I right in thinking spring compressors are not needed for the back shocks?
-
Jay Renshaw on Yahoo groups would be the man to speak to about the dash, he was in progress of installing one at the wekend and posted this pic.
-
I take it the shocks need to come off the car to do that? Is it easy enough to do?

From what ive read the Koni dampers with H&R Springs give a more comfortable ride than the eibachs and look more level but still with excellant handling. Dont know from personal experience though.
-
http://www.schimmelperformance.com/ go to the history section, not uk though.
-
Max Power sticker on the back must add at least 50bhp as well.
-
Ive heard it does help, have never tried them before though so ill see when I get them.
-
Or do what im doing and get strut braces.
-
Twas a Janspeed I replaced it with, probably from that.

Sounds good, ive never been on a rr and I think it makes more sence getting it done on the same day as other similar cars so if the rr isnt calibrated perfect at least the results can be compared.
