  1. custom mate. cost me about 250 quid. Would have only cost me 125 had I measured them correctly in the first place......
  2. dont think that is the case on the ring. Its certainly the case on msome track days, but the ring is a public toll road, and you can do what the feck you like on it!
  3. not sure what you mean here. the mk4 rear diff is enormous so will throw the driveshafts out even if it were dead center IIRC. I think thats what you were asking was it not?
  4. god I hate that 'driveline loss' statement. What about the other advantages? massive grip in all directions, better suspension setup on the rear etc etc. Also Phats mk4 r32 had driveline losses of 38 bhp at stealth. Where as haywires was somewhere in the region of 45bhp? (correct me if I am wrong there kev). Although haldex was unplugged its still spinning the transferbox and the prop and the haldex clutch plates.
  5. You just keep tapping that downpipe of yours with a hammer  and I will sit smugly in my 'Centralised mass' engined corraco lol
  6. http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/download.php?id=25978 Heres one I did last week. I also have a custom stabiliser bar (dog bone) as the mk4 one is a] rubbish and b] too long. Pictures to follow Dutch, seeing as you are getting the cats it would probablies make sense to get a 24v down pipe and use mk4 mounts? then you have the complete exhaust right back to the back seats. I put mine in a day, albiet I I was replicating my yellow car.
  7. yes the probes monitor each bank of three cylinders. In theory its possible to no have cats and just fit the rear probes in air somewhere (dangling) as the rear probes just check to see if the cats have cleaned the mixture up properly. they are effectively a switch. so being in fresh air would make them all clean and happy (unless you drove around middlesbrough lol  )
  8. hee hee i am digging the bloke with the tash :)
  9. Go out for a ride in Jays 24v corrado and then have a good think about what you just said...!
  10. thats just silly talk. You having effects of the crash. give it a couple of weeks and you will want your corrado back I gaurantee it :) chin up [slap]
  11. Like I say I have just broke a vr, I could do you a job lot on all the front end (apart from any panel work and the rad)
  12. I have a full vr6 engine bed if you need one ;-)
  13. is yours climattronic or just aircon? do you set the temp and it maintains it? I would imagine it wouldnt be too hard to mount, the corrado vents marry up to the mk4 climate airbox perfectly so I would have though the mk3 gear would be fine. I Have my dash out now so you are welcome to come and have a look about. bring your airbox down and you can trial fit it.
  14. p.s. excuse the lastpicture as it contains 3 pairs of my boxer shorts covering the inner cvs where I was welding (old ones of course :) )
  15. corse it will :-) theres not much left to do now :D Should get some more done over the weekend. Jay I might be giving you a ring over the weekend too, as I am mounting up my climatronic box inside :-)
  16. Been working on the corrado for about 2 years, but to be fair on myself I did very little the first year, I spent most of my time building a house extension. Nothing wrong with Yellow dude, just not my style thats all here are some pics:
  17. you could fit the 24v box, but that would involve extra work with custome driveshafts, mounts etc. but you could do it, just leave the transfer box there.
  18. btw all that have fitted/are fitting 24v V6's into their corrado are fitting engines with cosworth designed heads.
  19. stupid pile of sheeeiiiite forum has posted me pics back to front
  20. well I have a mk4 steering rack which I might have a look at whilst I have the front of the car in bits. I should be able to tell straight away if it will fit or not. I will report back over christmas
