uh oh.... -
definately one of the nicer corrados I have seen :-)
-
lol you are not wrong there - no offense to any 1.8T drivers out there they can be very quick punchy cars - I just prefer the instant throttle response of a NA car. I suppose a supercharger will be pretty much the same as an NA car..........oh look I have one those in my garage 8) :D
-
You talked me into it you bastad!!!!! lol
-
At the time I was thinking oh 1.8T mk2 - first in the country, how exlcusive 8) Now its more like oh another 1.8T conversion [yawn]

I looked at this car a couple of years ago mate, I remember it being for sale, I also remember it was sold for a shockingly cheap price.
-
the 24v v6 does fit in the corrado - I have one in mine.
-
frictional losses of 90bhp?? eh? I can turn the shafts with my hands, so what does that make me? Mr T?
-
I driven Phats - superb mod, do it now! transforms the character of the engine, it stops being a lazy engine and feels like it really wants to rev. And that was when it was running on 5 cylinders!!!
-
yes but surely you cant have more suseptable spoons than others though
-
well there are arguments both ways - you could say that the 'Less Intelligent' people are not affected also :D This is an observer point of view as I prefer to know what I am doing at all times.

nuns are shite - give your head a shake :!:

Poor Hammond - I especially liked the way he was trying to bulshit his way through with the Alfa :D Kev, there was a hynotist at last years presentation night for my football club and it most definately can and does happen exactly like that. Its incredible
-
I think phatty has some good news :) his car was quite impressive considering it was running on 5 cylinders - I would say it was on a par with a 2.0 16v corrado. It must be mental now!

Thats a nice corrado mate. I had a set of custom shafts made up for my 1.8T mk2, but they were a lot of money and I was looking to cut some costs with other methods.....suppose I shouldnt be cutting costs with driveshafts, especially when I am going to be have somewhere in the region of 280bhp - 320bhp going through them. I have 4 shafts to do though
-
were they custom on offs, or did they shorten your existing ones? How did they do it? and what were the costs?
-
its lovely up here! hasnt rained at all! and I have a days holiday 8)
-
not good - whats next? lambda sensor? have you blocked the exhaust up? timing :?

Hi all, I need to shortedn my front driveshafts to get them to fit on my corrado. I have been told that if I am going to have anything over 200bhp then friction welding is not suitable ie dodgey and I should get some custom shafts made up. has anyone done this shaft shortening exercise before? having custom shafts made up is quite costly and I would rather get them shortened, but if there is a chance they will give way then I think I will have to bite the bullet. Any thoughts?

Hi, I have just got a nice new VW Bora but it only coming with a tape. After 5 days of listening to Terry Wogan in the mornings I can take no more and MUST get some sort of player. What are the options with these new fangled efforts? Ideally what I would like is something that can play MP3s which could possibly insert into the tape for simplicity. Whats the crack with these I pods? Any advice would be appreciated

I was told the engine slopes right to left in order to counteract torque steer. Something to do with the unequal length driveshafts...
