Let's hope the company who get the job of rebuilding the 'box knows what the hell it's doing.. If you need any internal components such as complete geartrains, ring and pinions, selector assemblys etc let me know mate.
-
Two electric Hella beam adjusters that would eliminate the problem permanently.. I've got a few spare ones. If your interested, send me your email and I'll snap a few photos. There's no way I hell your gonna remove the fixed beam adjusters without them crumbling into bits, I've tried loads of times.. Cheers-Andrew

Check the alternator brushs and see if they are worn down too much. Could be a duff bulb.
-
Sounds like you have the loom that also has the optional headlamp beam adjustment provided by two electric motors. Try posting up a photo of the connectors, that way I'll know for sure.
-
Send me your email again mate, i'll send you a few photos of the spare one I've got.
-
Well that means that i'll have to get you a selector mechanism then.. Let me know if you need one matey..
-
Can you get the part number off the ABS ecu module? I'll see if one of mine is correct. Cheers.

Hi mate, Left hand slot seal as in the LH side window scraper strip that is fitted along the top of the door? I may have one but it's the age old problem of trying to get the fukkers off without bending them.. Left hand meaning driver's side seal? Postage to the u.s.a no problem.

Oil Prensence after G60 Charger rebuild....Am I worrying over nothing??
VEEDUBBED replied to gollfy1's topic in Engine Bay
The oil inside the actual charger may be normal but the oil leaking out from the two charger half's certainly isn't.. -
Ok mate, send me your email and I'll see what I can dig out. Cheers-Andrew

**** Luck.. How much you wantin for it now matey?..
-
What exactly do you need? Displacer?
-
Yep, got one, totally rust free and red. But..
-
Nothing yet mate, these are getting very difficult to find now.. I'll ask a mate who may have one spare.
-
Def. Got complete smaller inlets manifolds, I may have a 50mm lower bit, I'll try and dig it out mate. Cheers-Andrew

The splits across the very top bit of the seal? Very common and unfortunately they get worse with time, sunlight etc. I've got 4 spare ones, all split.. but with Rome's 30+ degree summers multiplied by 30 years it's only to be expected I suppose.

Just How it should be Rob. Putting it back on is easy, compared to removing the sods.. Just tsp it down using a Plastic mallet, align the strip with the door frame's rubber first and tap/push your way along. Once back in the door frame, check that the inner lip of the new strip seal has engaged along the top of the door frame's inner lip, I normally use a slim Jim that won't damage the seal's felt but a wide bladed paint scraper is also good. One thing, get it right the first time and don't rush it 'cos if you put it back in off and it needs moving..your buggered, VERY difficult to remove.

I've Got one matey, dragon green too.. BUT,you Know were I am..

I had on off a very low mileage ABV 2.9. Problem is that I've got the flu bad so I don't when I can pop down and check.. Cheers -Andrew

Excellent geebs Could you ask him if he ever had any work done Like the timing belt, fuel tanks or anything changed? Cheers
-
Yeah, I meant the seats, my bad. Interesting that you supplied the components, do you remember how much the complete kit used to cost? Who made the belts? Dayco, isoran?
-
Right mate..helpful to know. Just curious to know how much it would have cost back in the day. I know, difficult question to answer, just curious.

Anyone ever worked on an f40? My mate Here in Rome owned one back in'00 and was often asking me of i fancied changing the timing belt on the twin turboed v8, I couldn't do the job 'cos the car was just too low to even get it in the workshop.. I've Always been curious as to how much a job like that would have cost at Ferrari?? I remember that the rear seats had to be removed or even the entire engine.. I also remember that the fuel tanks were dated, every 10 years they had to be changed. Anyone know someone who has done this? I also wonder how much for a full service too..

Guaranteed that at least one of the small plastic locating tabs will snap as soon as you even glance at the bloody thing.. Try heating the plastic body first mate, not 100% certain but it normally avoids damage.
