Low milers are around if you're prepared to wait for the right one. A/C is pretty rare ... so finding a low miler that has A/C could take a looooooong time. Might be worth having A/C (( or climate controll )) fitted to a low miler. Same with the leather, you can always fit a leather interior at a later date, or have your seats re trimmed in leather, whats most important is getting a decent car (( as in engine/drivetrain/bodywork )) The trimmings can be sorted after alot easier than finding a particular car.

price? I want some to put on ebay!!

ahhhh...but you won't be saying that when it all proves to be a elabirate reality TV hoax where they're not really in Germany they're in Bognor Regis in a dis-used army bunker...
-
Yeah, it sounds gay, but it's true. If anything were to go wrong, you'd be under alot more stress than need be, you could risk not getting paid out for the sake of £300. Insurance companies don't need much of an excuse not to pay out.
-
It'd have to be a fairly low mileage in pretty good nick for £5k at the moment I reckon.

Have a search around the forums mate, there's quite a few threads about uprated headlight looms :D
-
LOL.. Well, thats a coincedence, I was wondering the same thing! I assume you mean the VAG specialist situated in an old barn?...I was thinking of popping in there for a chat to see what they'd charge for a service on my golf...I moved here just over a month ago so can't help with the local knowledge! It looks OK though. If I find out their hourly rate i'll let you know.

You can't be a witness in a scenario such as this if you know anyone involved personaly (( i.e , his mate in the car with him was technically involved so can't act as a witness )) As far as I know..

If you drop it by 30-40mm and take it relatively easy over bumps you should be fine. It's only when you go further than that that you can start to encounter problems. I've never had problems with 40mm, but did have problems with 80mm. (( though i've not had a VR6, only 8 + 16v's and G60's . VR6's have a lower sump )) I expect someone will be along shortly to recommend 'Koni TA' shocks and 'H&R' springs, i think they lower the car around 35mm so would be fine and would also improve the handling of the car dramatically , with suspension it's best to do it properly. Triggermyson on here has a VR6 on Koni/H&R's and he's from Wadebridge so will be able to tell you if he has probs on the local(ish) roads. :)
-
If I were you, i'd uprate the suspension (( lower it around 30mm-40mm )) and leave it at that (( just my opinion )) I think they look great in standard form other than the ride height (( it's too high! )) The standard wheels ((speedlines)) and body shape are perfect in my opinion. Congratulations on a good purchase then , obviously whoever previously owned it looked after it well.

vincent vr6 it even had my mum walking around it wide mouthed...absolutely stunning...one of the nicest raddo's I think i've seen (( and i've seen alot  )) Have you had it long?
-
Drop it...it seriously needs it... ...and would look awesome. (( unless you live down a lane like me! ))
-
Hope that's the car you're on about mate! Congrats on the purchase, you'l love it ...guaranteed. :)

Yeah , deffo. If worst comes to worst though, maybe you could think of taking their poxy £900 and keeping your g60, then buy a cheap g60 like this with the £900 and make a really nice one from the 2 cars, selling all the bits you don't need? Or buy a cheap valver with a foofed engine but decent body for less than £900 and whack your engine etc into it?
-
Yeah, p1ss takers. £1250 is a laugh! surly you can find decent G60's around for double thaty price?..get a few ads together and send them in to the insurance companies.
-
Have they given you a settlement figure for them keeping the car and just paying you off?
-
Going from a Vectra (( SRI or not )) to a VR6 Raddo will certainly be a step in the right direction, i'd love to see the look on your face when you first take it around some decent bends :D . As others have said, for £5k you should get yourself a very good example. Enjoy.

The problem with that is the rear quarter damage. Whats the spec of the car? have you got pics of it? what are other cars of the same spec/mileage selling for? if it's more than they're offering then put a load of evidence together and send it to them. To be honest, when you look at current prices of raddos, you may be better off taking the £900 and either fixing your car, or breaking it and buying a new raddo with the money you get in? EDIT-- but looking at it in your previous thread, the damage doesn't look too bad, maybe £900 could sort it out?
-
1992 yeah the fronts are different , even more so...have a look in the knowledge base for a full list of differences.
-
yep :)
-
Deffo sounds like a good idea, and it's quite often that you see threads from people asking about how to extract power from valvers.
-
I'm pretty sure I saw your car parked up in Newquay a few weeks back?...if it has black leather... It looked immaculate if it is the one anyway!
-
Yeah, probebly worth waiting a bit untill you can afford to splash a bit more out on suspension, like anything on a car, it seems pointless changing bits unless you are upgrading.
