  1. I should hope so! As promised, here's a pic of the Maxi-Cosi (Priori XP) in the back of my rado, like I said it fits pretty well and is nice and secure - http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... GYN50Atk07 Don't anyone go calling social services though! The black eye and scar is due to him falling and hitting his face on a table, the trials and tribulations of learning to walk! :( As you can probably make out though, there's not a lot of leg room for him and that's with the front seat pushed forward a fair bit, I can't imagine it's going to be very comfortable for front seat passengers when the littluns legs have grown (he's 15 months old in the pics and the seats supposed to be used untill he's 4!) - I find it hard to believe that the general concensus on here is that Rado's are fine for family cars, I find it a right pain in the ass, although it's possible to get him in its far from ideal!
  2. There's an unmarked Scirocco down here apparently! P.S - ^^ Doesnt look like a Mk3 to me?
  3. What dye did you use mate? looks brand new!
  4. Yeah DBP VR6's are fairly rare mate, it's an awesome colour so it's a shame really!
  5. One of the drawbacks of living here is that we haven't got that option! There aren't many shops that sell childseats and those that do haven't got the Recaros, even the stores like Mothercare etc are tiny here and just don't have the stock that they do up country :( At the moment I'm using it in my T4 on the front passenger seat and in the Rado in the back, it took a while to get the hang of getting it in the rado properly especially compared to the T4 which obviously has loads of room. In the Rado you have to have the front passenger seat forward a fair bit but I imagine that's the case with any car seat in the rear, it fits very well though and Jnr loves it  Its tempting to just buy another one because I know it fits etc but I'd really like a Recaro in the Rado if possible. I'll get a pic of it when its fitted next.
  6. Yep, wise words, and emu's car looks very good for the money!
  7. Seriously mate, I really wouldn't recommend having a conversion done in Cornwall if you're in Scotland! Its a hell of a way to travel to iron out any teething problems etc  As the guys have said, if you're looking for a 'factory install' that'll win shows etc then you may have to pay the scene premium, but that's not to say that you can't get a perfectly reliable and usable conversion done for sensible money, I'm sure there's someone capable up in Scotland! :)
  8. Just put some tyres on them and you're done!
  9. Obviously its a case of 'how longs a piece of string' - engine conversions aren't easy to price because there's always more than one way to skin a cat, and unexpected problems can arise here and there etc etc - but that doesn't mean to say that any company that doesn't want top money won't do a proper job! For a straight forward 20vt installation, using the existing running gear etc etc , £2.5k labour seems steep compared the prices i've been quoted (although I spose you have to bare in mind that I live in the arse end of the UK where labour charges are a bit cheaper) The company I mentioned above have done many conversions that have been done properly and are still running reliably years on, but they don't charge the earth, check out jezzag60's 16vG60T (supercharged & turbocharged) build thread and you'll see he doesn't piss about. You don't always get what you pay for! :) I know everyone on here recommends the same few specialists, but travelling the length of the country to have work done on your car because of internet recommendations can bring its own problems, Im sure Trigger would agree if he still used this forum!
  10. I can heartily recommend R.K Engineering in St Agnes for anyone in the South West, fantastic service, quality workmanship and non-scene pricing! :)
  11. £2500 seems fecking expensive just for installation though
  12. Ah, thats the 0-9months one though, I need the 9month+ one that faces forward. I've got a Maxi Cosi one in my van which i'm currently swapping from van to Corrado which is becoming annoying, I really rather have a Recaro in the Corrado if I can ascertain whether it'll fit properly or not
  13. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=77283&hilit=mk4+header ?
  14. MK4 calipers don't help this situation in the slightest  I was talking about seizing in general rather than freezing
  15. Its really worth doing the MK4 calliper conversion for this very reason!
  16. Yeah I did think about changing for a rear bench but that's not possible with leathers as they never came without the armrest! So you had one fitted Deviant and it went in OK?
  17. Its more a case of restoring/preserving than modifying for me, there are obviously parts of the car that need upgrading (suspension/brakes/wipers/lights) but other than that they don't need much tweeking as far as I'm concerned, they're definitely becoming more rare and they're also starting to be appreciated as a classic car which is all the more reason to keep them looking 'classic', for me.
  18. Awesome  Any chance of getting her to do a shoot with a nice Corrado? :D
  19. Really? I've found them great in the cars i've had them in, just to get a bit more flow through the car, especially if you're in the back - What made me think about it now is that my little-un is sat in the back so it would be nice to be able to open them slightly for him :)
