KevDrivebywire really is a bad influence on the members of this forum, every time I look in here theres a few more VR6 owners going down the turbo route
-
Oops, no you're right - but they changed the name of the colour in 92, from 'Pearl red' to 'Bordeaux Red Pearl' Same horse, different jockey!
-
I don't think they ever came on sebrings mate, as bordeaux red arrived in 92 which is the same year that valvers were given estorils - I may be wrong though :)
-
Strange, can't say i've seen any aqua blue rados around, which is weird considering you've got two! I live just outside Newquay mate, but I drive a white T4 transporter (like everyone else down here!) EDIT - Saying that, i've seen an aqua blue valver wearing Borbet A's with standard suspension a few times, in Indian Queens garage a couple of times and in Kingsley Village carpark, think it was at RTTS show and shine this year too, is that yours mate? if so it looks in really good condition!

How do I make the adjustment dude? Thanks for your input. Vick :) viewtopic.php?p=660708#p660708 :salute:

I found that comment offensive too, so i've removed it, as well as the following posts. Any problems PM me.

Yeah as KADVR6 says the rear leg room in an A4 is as small as a coupe! My A4 replaced an older Audi 80TDI avant and that was MUCH bigger, it was a great car and I wish i'd kept it tbh!
-
I've got a 110bhp 1.9tdi Audi A4, great cars in just about every aspect other than space, they're not big enough for an estate car IMO, also the multi link suspension set up is a bit of a pain in the ass, but other than that they're brilliant cars. The passat's basically the same thing but with a bit more room (I think?) so that might be a better option.
-
well they are both up for sale so they both only done them for attention in my opinion, brought them, spent loads of money making people look at them, and then got bored....: That's not uncommon though tbh, especially with 'show cars' - again, I don't see the problem? each to their own
-
He/She has obviously spent a lot of time, money and effort making their car exactly how they want it, I don't really see the problem, i've seen far worse! :camp: I've gone round the loop over the years and now much prefer standard Corrados, even down to the wheels and suspenders  EDIT - I'm talking about the grey one, not the pink one!
-
It all comes down to personal preference/experience though doesn't it? And its all comparative (e.g if you're used to a 1.0l Micra then I expect a VR6 would feel like a rocket!) Standard VR6's are perfectly powerful enough for me, i'm no speed demon and i'm not interested in track days or racing people on the roads etc so 190bhp is more than enough power to effortlessly cruise at 80mph. Having said that, I can fully understand the thrill people get from taking their Corrados to 400bhp and being able to play with cars that cost 10 times as much, if that's your thing then go for it! Also, whenever I've had quick cars before, they feel awesome for the first few months, but inevitably they start to feel slower once you're used to the power, same goes for handling etc - hence so many people start off saying "I'm going to keep this standard" yet bit by bit the mods start appearing  Not everyone is interested in Corrados for the same reasons :camp:

Shame, but sometimes it works out like that, you really need to be VERY careful when buying Corrados nowadays, even more so when they're heavily modified :(
-
Its something that you see more on European cars, Germany etc, I wouldn't say that 'no-one else' has done it but its certainly not common in the UK (although i've never really been sure why people do things to their cars just because no-one else has  ) so you may struggle to find many people that can do it?

Shame, as you say it looks lovely in the pics! It doesn't have to be a show boat as long as you enjoy it and it's serving you well though 8) -

Here's a pic of my old 8v with the rear badges done, i'd imagine it would look even better on yours with those all red rears :luvlove: -

Lovely! Black really is the best colour for Corrados IMO and my next one will be black without a doubt. Have you thought about painting the rear badges black? -

My best mate moved to Sydney 2-3 years ago from London, as said he reckons it does strike a good balance between city/beach life 8)

Yah if I ever move from here it wont be to somewhere in the UK! and Oz would be somewhere i'd want to have a look at! I can't see it though tbh
