whats a corrado like to drive compared to a 79 golf gti?
Walesy replied to anndy's topic in General Car Chat
The others have summed them up well, sounds like you want a VR6 really if you want maximum refinement. -

I'd say the exact opposite to Jim, sebrings do nothing for me but I love Estorils!

Trying to look menacing with one hand in the pocket

Meh, I threw it straight back in tbh! It was caught on my first cast though which is always nice! we went home with 6 Mackerel after an hours fishing, wish it was like that every time I go!

Go on then, it's always interesting to have a gander at the faces behind the ramblings! I've got very few recent pics of me as i'm always the one taking them, but my mate from Oz sent me this one he took a couple of weeks back while he was staying with me :camp: I'm the one on the left!

Guys can we keep to personal experience rather than just 'hearsay' - there's nothing wrong with sharing your own experiences but just saying 'I heard X, Y or Z' isn't really fair, and as such i've already deleted a couple of comments. And as for those who'd rather buy from the forum, I know what you're saying to a degree, but there have been a good few cars sold on here that have turned out to be much worse than described, you can't trust anyone when buying a second hand car so no matter where you buy a Corrado from these days they need to be gone through with a fine tooth comb before handing any money over, they're all at least 14 years old now! :)

Needs a new engine? -
If the clocks were from a Corrado 8v then they'd have the word 'Corrado' in white written on the facia. The rado 8v engne wasn't specific to the rado mate, they used the ADY or 2E, both of which were much more widely used in Golfs and Passats.

:( Well i've got a T4 and an A4 Avant TDI so i'm one step ahead of you, and probably younger  I have to say though, as much as i've not got much interest in going fast I can't wait to get myself another Corrado just because i'm so bored of the Audi as an alternative to the van, it's a great car but just doesn't excite me. I think the fact that you're into bikes makes a difference though, no matter what you do to the rado it won't give you the thrill you get from a bike, so you get your 'fix' from that I spose.

Yeah I hear what you're saying about the 'sentimental' thing, but most people can sell up, then decide a year down the line that they want another and just go and buy one, but with yours it's taken so long to get it how you want, you may well regret getting rid? It's not like you could replace it easily. Dunno though, it's just a car at the end of the day, if it's not 'doing it for you' then it's not worth keeping I suppose :?

I bought my transporter a year ago and it's without doubt the best thing i've ever done, I practically live in it! Its an absolutely awesome vehicle to own if you have a lifestyle like mine (outdoors, dogs, kids etc) and I can't see me ever being without one from now on :camp: A T4 and a Corrado is the perfect combo IMO, don't go flogging it after all these years!

Have you tried one for size? they're not the biggest when it comes to legroom :|

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=26559 ^^All the info should be in that thread mate, if its not feel free to bump it with any questions, the more threads there are on each subject the more difficult it is to find correct info
