K'in ell, I thought you'd disappeared mate :camp: Hows the rado doing? paintwork still minty?

If you want a good balance of Performance and MPG, then valvers really aren't what you're looking for, they're the total opposite of that in fact! And as far as wanting something that'll make you grin at the touch of the go pedal i'd again advise you to steer away from valvers and go for a VR or a G60. I agree with Leon though, you're best off just looking at as many rados as you can and choose the best one you've seen regardless of what engine it has, these days finding a Corrado with a really decent shell, tight chassis, and rattle free smart interior is becoming bloody difficult. If you're keeping the car long term and are happy to do an engine conversion at some point then just get the best rado you can find and worry about engines later! VR6's drive totally differently to G60's, likewise 16v's are different to 8v's etc etc, they all have completely different characteristics so the only person that can decide which is best for you, is you!

It really does look like 2 different colours, but APB is a strange paint! I've dug these pics of my old G60 because they used to weird me out! When I bought the car it'd been painted on the rear quarter but they'd done it a different shade, so I had the whole side painted, when I took these pics I thought i'd had it done the wrong colour myself! It definitely wasn't the wrong colour though, due to the fleck in it, it changes colour loads under different lights - so the roof/bonnet facing upwards can look a different shade to the sides which are facing the walls/bushes etc. Im not saying it's not a different colour, because in that pic it really looks like it is, but here's some pics of my old one which was definitely all one colour in these pics, but the first two were in one location and the second in another.

Says the man with day glow green wheels on at the mo! If you're dead against silver then I agree with MrBeige - body colour might work? Or black seems to work with most colour cars for a mean look.

Does it feel prehistoric after driving the Evo then? or is it still rewarding but different?

Haha, forget it , she sold the house a couple of years back, I only thought of it cos of the thread title  Yeti, didnt you have that MK3 for sale a while back?

My Mum used to have a clean driveway before I let Zak remove an engine from a rado on it

You were turning the bolt the right way were you? IIRC its a reverse thread so needs to be undone clockwise.

Yeah true, i've been pulled a few times and have never had any docs on me, and have just been given a producer - even when the cars i've been in haven't been on the insurance data-base. -

Porsche green, Apple green, Beetle green, Incredible Hulk Snot green - call it what you want its still not the right colour for wheels on your car IMO :gag:  Anyway, it's you that has to drive around in it and have it parked on your drive, so if you like it then thats all that matters  Dinkus is apparently in the middle of a move to Canada so is pretty busy! :camp: -

Oh come on, i'm sure you didn't expect to put a set of illuminous green wheels on your car and not attract any attention/opinions? Its not to my taste in that im not into attention seeking or garish mods, but I also think in this case it just doesn't suit the car - the car is otherwise nice and understated so the wheels don't look right, I think the gold suited it better and it looked really smart on the LM reps etc - just my opinion  -

Sh1t happens unfortunately, as much as I can understand that your mate's pissed off, it sounds like its a simple mistake down to the insurance company not having his car on the insurance database - the coppers were only doing their jobs and i'm glad they were! There's enough knobs driving around with no insurance regardless of what type of car so at least someone's out trying to put a stop to it. If I was him, i'd certainly be looking to the insurance company for some sort of compensation though. -

Sorry, no offence intended, but that just looks absolutely ridiculous on so many levels! I know its the 'in thing' with the cool kids at the moment but you'll find that the vast majority of people who see that on the roads will think you're a complete tit  Its just one of those things you'll look back on in a few years and think 'wtf was I thinking?' Each to their own though, and all that jazz  -
Yeah it's a vacuum system like on rados etc, and yeah hopefully it's down to lack of charge - the problem being that there's no MOT/TAX on the car so getting it charged it difficult!
