:fondle: Shame you've edited your first post and the thread title though :( I liked the multicoloured bold capitol effect etc etc

LOL, the kerfuffle that you had to cause? If im wrong about the law then im wrong about the law, i've never pretended to be a technical expert, im just making sure the forum doesnt end up on the wrong end of a lawsuit so threads asking about MOT stations that will turn a blind eye will be locked. If karmanng60 wants to use the search for information about whether a CAT is required and ask questions he's more than welcome :) Thanks for the thread FMA though :camp: :)

LOL, quality - Have you not realised that we have a PM system then? The funniest thing with being a Moderator is the queue of smart arses waiting to trip you up  Its a grey area, there is/was a cut off point in 1992, if your car was made before August 1992 you dont need a cat and if it was made after then you do - as far as I know - though I could br wrong or the law may have changed. Regardless, the question within the thread was asking for an MOT station that will turn a blind eye, so it will remain locked :)

Err, isn't this a bit like asking if anyone knows of any customs officers that'll let you through heathrow with a kilo of cocaine? - albeit on a slightly less illegal issue :) I'll lock this thread mate, as if anyone was to answer it would be putting the garage in question into a difficult position :?

It might also be worth mentioning - that my last one sold to a guy that wasn't even looking for a car to buy, let alone a Corrado - he'd never really paid much attention to rados and had never really thought of buying one when he clicked on my advert whilst browsing on a local VW forum. Putting a bit of time and effort into an advert and taking plenty of decent pictures along with timing your sale so that you're in no rush, will sell the car for a good price. If you've spent time/effort/money on making or keeping your car in good condition then you deserve to achieve a fair price reflecting the condition! Also, I would never argue the principle of supply and demand but I dont think that it's necessarily the reason for all price drops, like I said I think the attitude of sellers towards the car they're selling has alot to do with the rado price drop, owners just dont want the hassle and are prepared to sell at £500 less than what they might achieve with some effort and patience just to get rid and move onto their M4/5 Gti or whatever :(

I took just over 4 weeks to sell my last Rado, it was a valver with 121k miles on it and it went for £2150 with a few months t&t, I didnt have to reduce the price or try advertising on any sites that charge for adverts, it was only for sale on a few small websites (apart from pistandstoned) - i'd hardly compare that to the year or whatever it was that it took mathew1985 to sell his  :) - Allthough I do agree that a few years ago a well advertised rado in good condition would sell itself within a few days not a few weeks! I think the few rado traders that there are/were would testify that they're a dieing market :( . I suspect He-Man has moved onto another model, and TTC etc will soon.
-
LOL, not if you buy and sell sensibly, i've had countless Corrados and have sold each one for more than I paid for it, due to tidying them up,spending money on making them reliable, and reversing 'mods' that drop their value. If you buy a car in mint condition that's been advertised correctly, or you blow money on moddifying then you will struggle to make your money back.

I also think it's a reflection of the second hand car market in general, I've traded cars for a few years now and have noticed that nowadays what people expect from a £500 motor is unbelievable. A few years ago, if a car had tax and MOT then it would sell for £500 all day long, whereas nowadays people expect all sorts for their money. I had a diesel clio up for sale a few months ago with 12 months MOT and 6 months tax for £500, I couldnt believe how difficult it was to sell , people turning up and picking it to pieces "its got no PAS" "its got no electric windows" "its got no CD Player" etc etc, All I could think is that it's a diesel with tax and 12 months MOT and it's £500  - what more do you want? You can go to the auctions and see people driving off in £100 cars that have tax and test.

This is exactly right, its down to the owners that have had their cars for a few years and have spend loads of money on them and now just want rid, seeing people sticking up late valvers with MOT/TAX and 100k miles for £1500 is a shame, I know for a fact that higher prices are achievable if you're prepared to wait for the right buyer. I think it's up to the owners to be comanding a better price for their cars (unless they're complete sheds of course!) and that's the only thing that will bring the market back. Buyers aren't going to just start paying more than the asking price! Mk2 owners are a perfect example of this tbh, they're asking for what seems like silly money for their cars but they must be achieving the prices, its a crazy fact that an 8v GTi is now worth more than an eqivalent rado.

Picz with bread on Lambo? -
I had a G-Max kit on a G60 a few years ago and tbh I couldnt believe just how bad they were in every aspect :( they were a budget kit and I certainly got what I paid for - I really cant see why The Phirm would recomend them to anyone at all  , though I suppose if you were happy with your kit then maybe they've improved - I know alot of Mk2 owners seem to rate G-Max If I was gonna replace suspenders with a kit of that sort of value I think id be going for Weitecs.

Any pics of the interior Bally? The headrests look interesting, are they from a Bora? -

Guys, I dont think there's any reason to take offence to comments that aren't 100% positive - it's been known for years that the eyebrow spoilers dont sit 100% straight so its no big deal, im not sure that pointing that out should brand someone as a 'cnut' or a 'hater' - when people put their cars in shows or on the internet then surly they should be able to take the good with the bad, that's what it's all about, like Mave says - i'm sure Bally wont loose any sleep. If the fact that the eyebrow spoiler is the only thing that can be picked up on, on a 15 year old car that's been used daily and has more miles than the starship enterprise surly the fella isn't doing badly 8) Back on topic - those brakes look AWESOME, surly there must be engine plans to go with them? 8)

There's one that needs to be undone from the engine bay side - in the tray that the ECU and wiper motor sits in

Look who the cat dragged in :camp:

I suppose the other lesson to learn would be to not drive a car that has no MOT and doesn't have valid insurance. Think yourself lucky that no-one was hurt mate.
-
Nah :camp:

Agreed, there's absolutely no need to be so agressive/offensive. Grow up please, or use another forum.

Firstly, allways try using the search mate, most things have been discussed. You can find a list of what fuse is what on the back of the fusebox cover, and also in the original owners manual.
