I've got one in my attic that timg60 had made up, the only problem being that the printers miss-spelt Corrado
-
TBH I would say that if you're on a budget with a new baby etc then maybe it's not the time to buy a cheap rado, you could be extremely lucky and bag yourself a minter that'll cost you nothing to run for £1500, but the chances are very slim.

I think www.theplateman.com sells what you're after mate

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=68744 Can you keep the problem to one thread please mate :awesome:
-
Yip and not just VR's, g60's and valvers too - i've had a few rados (and a g40) that ran hot but didn't overheat, every time this was cured by replacing the old rad with a nice new one. It can make a massive difference.

 We're not all made of money

I doubt you'll have to pay any more than £2k for a goodun. I had up over 40mpg out of mine regularly - when you consider the price of diesel nowadays it makes an 8v seem like a really sensible choice economicaly.
-
Have a really good look around the rear end, if there's signs of rust it could well have had a bump.

They're fantastic cars IMO and suit your needs exactly. I've had 2 8v's and would have another in a shot. There were only 213 8vs ever made, and i'm pretty sure only the UK got them. They were all late M reg and N reg. I've also noticed that you've got more chance of finding a standard and un-abused 8v than any other flavour rado, as speed freaks stay clear of them. They're no street racers but are really not that bad, I much prefer the power delivery to the 16vs (9a especially) and would have an 8v rather than a 16v every time.

Guys i'm gonna lock this as it's basicaly covering topics that are already being discussed in other threads. There's a thread on petrol prices here - viewtopic.php?f=17&t=68742 And a thread on the current fall in Rado prices here - viewtopic.php?f=17&t=68055

It might be worth you having a read through this thread mate :)

Hi mate, have you tried the fuse? im pretty sure there's a seperate fuse for the windows located on top of the fuse box (no 14) if it does turn out to be the regulator im sure you could pick one up on here pretty cheaply.

Check out this thread mate - http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=59752 - he's broken the 300bhp mark with his 8v Turbo 8)
-
Im not suggesting that it isn't possible mate, just that by the way you worded it it sounded like it's a common thing when tbh the only PG's ive seen making over 300 (or anywhere near) have been turbo'd and i've not seen many of those :) As far as I know there's only 1 8v on here that's broken the 300bhp mark
-
Have you?
-
Have you tried ringing Audioscape? :|
-
I reckon a masturbation tax would probebly be a good earner for them tbh, charged per ml
-
I emailed them for a franchise pack earlier, I can see it working down here as its very sparcely populated so taxis can be a pain in the ass!
-
Exactly, and I fully agree that we've all allowed this to happen by bending over and taking it, raw.
-
Totaly agree, and it's been a long time coming.

yes
