Have you thought about attaching some wings to your Corrado? best of both worlds tbh.
-
To be fair, you cant expect to have 100% of people liking your car when you've painted it in such a dramatic way! :) when you make changes like this that attract alot of attention, not all of it will positive but that's the nature of what you've done, try not to take offence to anyone that doesn't share your extravert tastes, you've posted pics to get opinions and that's what you've got! 8) Anyway, in my books, regardless of what it looks like fair play to you for having a go at painting it yourself! I dont even change the oil on my cars let alone do any bodywork :thumbleft:

Wife hits garage wall with Corrado! (FIXED NOW!)

If you're thinking of keeping paperwork with regards to holding value when it comes to re-sale, i'd say that to perspective buyers (who'll more than likely be 'enthusiasts') the sheer fact that you're disclosing the fact that it's had paint will mean more, plus decent pics of before, during(if poss), and after the work's been done - should more than suffice. If it'll cost you significantly more just to get paperwork i'd personaly really wouldn't bother, just make sure whoever does it will do a great job, that's the most important thing! Shame to see it as it looks like a nice example and there's never a good time to have to fork out that sort of money on your car, but I suppose accidents do happen to the best of us. I can imagine your wife thought long and hard about how was best to approach the subject after she'd done it! :pale: -
Haha, something told me that you'd have another one at some point, I suppose the fact that it's red was the deciding factor? Looks like it could do with a couple of quids spent on it but im sure it'll come up nicely.
-
Yeah they dont come colour coded so if you need a replacement for a storm it'll need paint, it might be worth using the search as I seem to remember there's a thread on here from someone that had it done.
-
I'm afraid i've reached that point at the age of 29  As much as I miss having a rado, I have to say that I absolutely love my Audi TDI estates, and yes, I also find myself buzzing at how much I can fit in the boot :pale:
-
That could well be 'Campaign's' old one on here, it was sold through a dealer a few months back, alot of rados seem to be heading over to Ireland lately! Junkie, all campaigns were early first of line VR6's mate not last of line :geek:
-
What problem are you trying to fix? are you looking for the radiator temp switch? that what the one in the pic looks like but they usualy have two or three pins  , it screws into the front of the rad?
-
Yeah my neighbour has a huge doberman and a jack russle, the dobe's soft as sh1t but the jacks a nasty little bugger when she wants to be  The doberman really is a beauty though, he reminds me a bit of the 'at at' robots on star wars. Weirdly, my dog looks a bit like a combo of the two (jack and dobe) when he's stood next to them

Sounds like your stat might be stuck open if it drops that low on the motorway?

I'm not sure why it would be interpreted as 'rubbish' i'm going from my experience of having run four 9a valvers over the last 6 years, ranging from a 65k mile minter to a 135k mile not-so-minter and i've never got above 35mpg on a long run - i've averaged within the twenties overall on every one of them , usually around the 25mpg mark. Im not making it up  I've never owned a KR rado so cant comment on them :camp:
-
The reason the g60 0-60 time isn't great is that you cant hit 60 in 2nd gear in one, and really speaking they're not that fast as standard, but a couple of hundred quids worth of sensible mods makes the world of difference to them which cant be said with valvers. Also, i've said it before and i'll say it again, £350 every 45k miles really isn't much of an expense or regular hassle in real terms. Drive a chip/pulley'd G60 and i'd be very suprised if you would prefer the 16v after, let alone be happy to be getting less MPG from one  The MFA is only a guide so isn't deadly accurate, but no matter what it says I allways got fantastic MPG from the 8v's i've had (including my MK3 cab :camp: )
-
If you genuinely want one let me know dude
-
Have to agree with the above, apart from the 8v which is fantastic on fuel (even compared to dervs nowadays) the G60 is probebly the best on fuel closely followed by the VR6, I average around the 30mpg mark with both engines as I haven't got a heavy right foot, whereas in every valver i've had i've never managed to get much above 26mpg overall which is pretty poor when you consider how little power they give.
-
Dunno, it might just be the angle of the pic?
-
Nice one Neil! Something looks weird about the front end though, are the headlights from a late car or something? they seem to sit back a bit? Other than that it looks pretty straight for the cash.
-
If it's for sale, then why wouldn't you contact him? you'd be mad not too IMO! I've had rados sell themselves before, when they weren't for sale. You're probebly alot more likely to get your asking price from someone that's fallen in love with your car in particular rather than eleswhere where there's more competition etc. Go for it I say!
-
Yeah they're G60 specific, try having a search :)

dude im sorry if im being really stupid but i dont understand what u mean? are u saying i should have posted on the suppliers forum or shouldnt have? have i done something wrong? No mate, other than posting this thread in the interior section rather than 'suppliers' All questions about where to get parts from should go in here, no drama though it only takes a second for one of us to move it :) -
What would have been nice, is if they'd have made these for the rado (this one's from a MK3 Goof)
-
  If its for an early dash let me know how much you would want, if you still want rid of it, i need somewhere to store all the remotes for the stuff in my car and with a bit of modification that would be ideal. It was taken from a 1995 sorry mate
