Check it first though as the fan could be running stage one without you hearing it, it's only really loud and noticeable when the second stage kicks in at 110deg RKE have one of those infrared thermometers, most cars i've had have been indicating that they're running hotter than they actually are. It seems that keeping the temp constant on 1990's VW's isnt to easy tbh, i've had trouble with countless cars that run hotter than i'd like but dont overheat :cuckoo:

Just found a better pic of a bit of panel gappage :)

I've got no pics of a C with late bonnet/early wings as i've not seen one, going by what davidwort says though you'd need to get a pair of wings and a bonnet before you go for paint. Here's a couple of pics of a late C with one early wing, I assume that having 2 early wings makes it stand out alot more! :)
-
well apart from the condition/colour of a late bonnet and the cost of purchasing/repainting, the late bonnet doesn't fit properly with early wings, it'll work, it's just they'll not line up right, panel gap and curve etc. Yeah I suppose the cost is an issue, I just meant that in the scheme of things it's not a massive amount of work when you're undertaking an engine conversion. I've not got a pic of a rado with early wings and late bonnet, though i've had a couple of rados with one early and one late wing and a late bonnet and you'd be hard pushed to tell tbh.

Why is getting a late bonnet to fit way too much hassle mate?
-
There's a thread here on it mate - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64135 Its allways worth using the search as theres alot of topics on here that have allready covered :) I'll lock this up to keep all the info in the original thread.
-
Nah I doubt its a fraud mate! everything else looks OK with it, obviously whoever originaly bought it wanted the tape holder. Just rip it out and bin it :) it should just pull out which will give you a handy cubbyhole to keep stuff in. Looks good for the mileage! Once the paints been done she'll be a beaut :)
-
They will go on but you'll need a goodridge hose conversion.
-
Assuming you've got your idea of value now M15VW i'll lock this up, I'd say this thread has served its purpose now :)

Unfortunately the reality is that it's not worth as much as you'd like I expect. If you're asking for an honest opinion of what it's worth i'd say around the £2k mark as the shell is in good nic?
-
If only we had a specific section for questions about interiors :(

Sell the car when you dont want it anymore, not because the mileage is getting slightly 'high'

Haha, co-incidentaly thats what he said to me before it happened (it just needs adjusting) He was on his way down to me in Cornwall from Cardiff when it happened and he was still shaking when he got here, his missus had a nasty mark on her shoulder from the seatbelt where he'd stamped on the brakes (as you can imagine, the noise created by your sunroof ripping itself out of the car is fairly horrific!) and it also damaged the roof as it flew off - all together a pretty nasty experience. Oddly, i'd never heard of this happening before in all my time on here - but within a couple of weeks there was another Corrado down at RKE that had had exactly the same problem, co-incidentaly both cars were 1991 Dark Burgandy Pearl G60's  If I were you i'd bump it up on the 'to do' list  Anyway, sorry for going off topic - just thought it was worth mentioning.
-
i keep meaning to do this , as my roof has wind noise above 65 , and if i am going to adjust it i may as well change it for something different. My mate had wind noise from his sunroof at motorway speeds, he didn't address it which eventually resulted in the sunroof completely removing itself from the car at high speed - luckily no-one was behind him as it could have killed someone very easily! - If I was you i'd get it sorted!
-
Why on earth do you want one dude? or is it for your g/f or something?
-
Yes, they make you look very, very ghey. Oh, and they're crap. HTH :camp:
-
Dunno tbh, it sounds a bit dodgy to me!
-
'tis indeed rare, but it was available :geek: :)

Early or late, heated seats was an option so some leather is heated some isn't - likewise there are heated cloth seats in late and early cars, it was an option.
