well got the estimate in from the local VW-approved bodyshop...............also getting them to re-spray my passenger door at my cost......due to the fact there is a wee door knock there too and its also been previously resprayed(v cheaply and not too good on reflection) and somehow just looks a different shade in bright sunlight......anyway i'm getting the door done at a reduced cost as they would have to do some blending in while they do the insurance job.....anyway here's the prices Insurance Job:- repair and re-paint rear N/s quarter............remove and refit trim.......blend in to N/S side door £273 Job at my cost:- repair and repaint N/S door remove and re-fit trim £139

bear in mind tho....the 1.8 16v don't have a cat tho.............but i think it still fits :? :?: :?:

heard that they are pretty damn rare and a deffo collectable VW 8)

yip there are locating holes for it.....and there should be little lugs on the actual badge too

or........it could just be the lower dashboard plastic......mine made a sound not too dis-similar from the noise u get when you squeeze an empty plastic bottle..... :mad: :mad: :mad: damn annoying.............took it to the local $tealer and they said it was that and it had just warped slightly and bent the trim back a tad.........and silence :wink:

which if the insurance company found out about...............they would void any claim you made :roll: ..........apart from cheating the insuance company.....your also cheating yourself......and if you were to have an accident then you could be open to potentially serious litigation etc

used to have to top my up eevry so often over the first couple of years ownership...........never had the warning light go on tho as i only topped it up when i looked and seen it was just at the seam of the reservoir.....obviously when the engine was clap-cold...........anyway haven't had to top it up since(touch wood) my thermostat housing went.........perhaps you've got a minor crack developing????????

well if i were you i would re-read your policy :wink: ............cos the driving any other cars means in 99.9% of insurance company speak..........."any other cars not owned by you or leased to you under a hire purchase agreement".......so you were either driving them Illegally or you haven't owned them :shock: :shock: :shock: .......not meaning to spoil yer party etc......but its best to learn about these.....on a reasonably friendly forum......... before you find out the hard way :cry:

don't want to imagine the insurance premium for all that lot :shock: :shock: .................or have you been "naughty" and had them on other(older) peoples names :?: :wink:

not meaning to do halfords out of business......but your local $tealer just might amaze you...........i bought mine from my local $tealer just so i could have a wee VW badge on the plates and the cost for 2 was.........£10+VAT so a fiver each!!! :D :D :D

very good..............but A) my missus don't like the Lupo...........B)her SportKa has all of 20 miles on it and was reg'd 29/06/04....................C)her SportKa didn't cost her or me anything :wink: .........even have free 1yrs insurance too :wink: and finally D) her SportKa doesn't need any bodywork :roll:

oh yes you do............unless of course your OZ suddenly lost a substantial bit of rim from just hitting a white line :roll: and as for my wee bump which was soo severe.......it caused no damage to the said poor sod :wink:........at the end of the day my wee bump was just down to not paying attention at 10mph tops.......from what struan told me at the RR day yours was due to going in FAR too fast into the round-about and you losing control and hitting the kerb(or white line :wink: )

who said there's any debt involved here btw........and no offence taken but there will be a private plate going on..just didn't have enough time to get it transfered off the old Ka onto the new one....for the new one to be reg'd on my missus's b/day which was yesterday....she wanted a NEW one she also wanted the SE version.......the one with delivery miles was jan04 reg'd but was just a std SportKa so no leather or A/C and of course Ford are doing Free Insurance on them too........soin the end the £1k difference was more like £500......
