spark plugs are set deep into the engine??
vr6storm replied to jedi-knight83's topic in Suppliers Forum
go to your local VW dealer and get the Hazet tool costs approx £16....make sure its the proper metal one and not the crappy plastic one tho  -
daves16v you sure thats a 40mm drop that you have???.......i just ask cos mine has a 65mm drop and if you look at my pic you'll see it looks a fair bit more that 25mm of difference between our 2 motors :?
-
i do approx 170 miles per week...........and i've clocked up just over 25k since august 2001 and IIRC sandy's G/F dad has a nice under 20k genuine mile pearl green G60
-
they should managed that no problem......providing of course you pay them a delivery charge....£10 or something silly like that
-
i may be wrong here but i'm pretty sure the 2.0 16v doesn't use the plus suspension that the VR does.........cos if you look at his arches in relation to the wheels the wheels look well in......ok the VR as standard has 6.5J rims against his 2.0 16v's 6J rims anyway if you have a look at mine you'll see what it'll look like with a 65mm drop
-
dunno about the CRUZ etc m8........but i'm hoping to make a trip down your way round spring time to visit family.................i'll keep you posted on it........if you want to meet up of course
-
also in agreement with jim........i've had my mats now for just over 2 years and they are pretty much wrecked(well the driver's one)...in that most of the foam backing has disintegrated away
-
looking good! 8) ............ damn nice colour too
-
twas done before biggrim bought it...........but i'm sure he can show you how not to do some of it  .......think you're wheels will be safe enough if you do it wrong tho
-
nice one
-
i take it its something like an Audi 80 quattro????.....if it is i'm sure that these won't fit as they have a different PCD from the VW 4-stud PCD IIRC
-
can't see you needing any other code other than the AAA one.........as the PG uses digi-fant??????? and the AAA is mo-tronic????? IIRC
-
jmig118,will have the early slider heating controls and not the later rotary one like you..........IIRC the A/C in the early style controls is worked by the same knob as the fan speed is
-
it can swap over.....biggrim has a beige leatherstorm interior in his G60 but his window switches etc are seemingly a bit "strange"
-
of course it also depends on the place that refurbishes them and how much you pay  ......i had mine refurbed recently but had a minor change away from looking totally factory....i had a silver sparkle effect powder coat finish which i must say i'm very very impressed with....looks totally stock til you see them up close and in certain lights.....all that for under £40 per wheel
-
yip agree with the other guys between £4k and £4.5k......any cheaper and your laughing  also if the seats are electric they will be recaro's......pretty rare on a VR with them being cloth as the normal recaro option was leather
-
its a pretty decent enough price......but i think the timing is wrong tbh.......just over 2 weeks to xmas etc  .......just my 2penneth
-
probably he's just meaning the std VW sports seats* but cos they are electrically heated........ *the std VW sport seat uses recaro subframes and often are mistaken for being recaro seats
-
you'd have to join the queue matey  ......besides they ain't mine they're pau1's
-
i've sat in pau1's VR's recaros and found that the std VW sports seats are a bit more comfy though not as nice looking as the recaro's are they do come up now and again....in fact was tempted meself earlier this year as MJ had a full recaro interior in tan/biege/biscuit for sale for around £800 inc all the plastic trim too......though it was from a german market LHD Corrado as for being dealer fitted.....they would have been a factory option.....but i did enquire to how much VW would charge per seat....if they could still be obtained too........approx £2500+VAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     and AFAIK that wasn't for them being leather'd up
-
you just got to love the M3 mirrors   sorry not my cup of tea at all..........alloys too big,too fussy front end, silly bonnet scoop and of course the above mentioned M3 mirrors  must admit the paintwork looks pretty good tho
-
anyone got a copy of the autocar test for the CTR??
vr6storm replied to Nick_Micouris's topic in General Car Chat
hehehehe......nice one nick  .......you should have all yer proof in the next couple of days too  .......... -
Thats good stuff anybody else sail through their MOT ??? Sandy yip mine has sailed thru 2 years running  .........so far all the german motors i've ever owned that needed MOT'd have sailed thru
-
just guesstimating here btw.......but 565PS would work out to just over 500BHP but under 565PS...........1PS is just under 1BHP
-
both andi and pau1 the jammie gits have grey leather elec recaro's in their VR's 8)
