right can i just thank you all for making the event a very good well-mannered and enjoyable day......apart from Dubster82's little incident  :( prior to getting there........the day AFAIK passed off without any problems whatsoever and it was good to see some new faces apart from the usual crowd also a big thank you to all at Star-Performance for accomadating us so well and ensuring it all went smoothly too and congratualtions must go to struan aka scotcorradog60 for putting out the biggest figures of the day.......though i think if ess_three had taken his S3 along it would be a different story......still there's always next year  anyway although i gave you all some forms to fill out with your figures etc i would be real grateful if you could PM me with your Din 70020 figure, the power at wheels figure and your torque figure so that i can get all the results listed here and then collated for inclusion in a forthcoming issue of VWMotoring magazine 8) anyway we had a right good cross-section vee-dubs there.....sadly no Mk2 Golf's....apart from the only RHD G60 limited......and we also had a couple of invaders too.....a Lotus Elan SE and an Alfa Romeo 156 V6 here is the list in no order btw Name........................Car................Din Pwr.........at wheels.......trq Fat Tony........................Corrado G60......182...............129...........170 vr6paul.........................Corrado VR6.......210...............147.5........185 Sandy...........................Corrado G60.......217...............164...........197 vr6storm.......................Corrado VR6.......189...............138...........175 :( Glenn............................Corrado 2.0 16v..135...............96............130 Gary Burke...................Golf GTi/VR6.......190...............136...........174 Jim Gardner..................Golf GTi Mk4 8v...118................???..........??? -
probably the latter though to be fair on the seller he probably doesn't know any difference  .......as some people out there don't know that mystic blue is a storm only colour......i'm sure some people would even describe moonlight blue as a "storm" blue colour too and as you and i both know its quite a bit away from mystic......anyway to my knowledge he/she doesn't describe it as a G60 storm it was just a typo as has been pointed out
-
of course it could be quite a hard one to take any action on.............afterall how many other traders/car sellers use common colour descriptions......eg diamond white(ford-colour IIRC),alpine white(VAG and Porsche) and BRG(rovers, jaguars etc) on cars/manufacturers that never had cars available in those colours
-
the old A/C question......A/C was never a factory option on RHD 92>Corrado's of any description......it was only offered as a dealer-fit option(provided the dealer could offer it) April 1995 was when the storm was launched in the UK so there are plenty M-plates going about......in fact anything registered before april 1995 will NOT be a storm and you could still buy VR6's when the storm was listed too.......i've also heard it on good authority too that storm chassis numbers are all over the place so are not in any sort of order........TBH the only real winners when the storm was introduced were people who bought them because IIRC the storm worked out a fraction cheaper than speccing a standard(cloth) VR6 with leather
-
AFAIK VR6......jedi's interior is the same as mine also henny it was fitted with speedlines when he bought it.........tbh the classic green storm is the easiest one to fake.......as it was a standard Corrado colour and most people would have specified the beige leather to compliment the green paintwork if they went for the leather option but he should by all means contact VW's customer careline and get them to confirm what it was sold as
-
tbh the only difference between my storm and your non-storm is the fact i have the 2 coveted badges and also a colour-coded grille......... ;)     .........notice you haven't picked him up on his spelling tho
-
yip the only beige plastic bits on the classic green storms are the centre console, gear surround, footrest,AB&C pillar covers, trims along the inside of the doors, door pockets and sunroof controls(inc surround) the dashboard and other bits attached to it are black.....anyway here's a pic of my interior tbh the only difference between my storm and your non-storm is the fact i have the 2 coveted badges and also a colour-coded grille.........and in fact with you having A/C yours is also better specced

right guys once you get to star-performance can i ask you all to try and find parking spaces at the front of their unit and NOT to all park up on the Gravel bit round the back where their workshop door is....... -
nice one chris ........hopefully you won't be parted from her for so long again
-
as long as you make room for the "handy"-size pack of Kleenex
-
Lock-er-ooo then

yeah roughly that time....its all dependant on jim and brian getting there to open up of course...........but parking at the front.....so as we can get some sort of organised chaos to the running order -
i take it there is "mayo" on more than just the oil filler cap????......cos if its just the oil filler cap that has the emulsified oil or "mayo" then its more than likely just condensation in the engine due to low ambient temps etc
-
if they did then what would happen is that if someone then went to view a genuine storm that didn't have storm in the log-book......then they would be thinking its fake etc.....the best way to check if it is genuine is to phone VW's customer care line quoting either its original registration or Vin/chassis number
-
i'm not disputing that jeremy,as the badges must have been available for a while from the parts depts of VW dealers, but what i am saying is its very very highly unlikely for a VW dealer to put storm badges onto a leathered up non-storm VR and try pass it off as one My car was supplied from dealer and advertised as 'Storm Spec' (although it was somewhat better specced) with Aqua paint , ABT carbon storm gearlever surround, ABT carbon glovebox, ABT coil over suspension, Silver Recaro leather seats, oh and the elusive Storm Badge Matt :D first off what date of registration is your very very nice looking VR??,also was it supplied new like that(with badges etc) or was it sold 2nd-hand and described as Storm-spec??.....must say that must be some looker in the flesh 8)

right for the guys meeting up in aberdeen...........matt and the elgin lot will be meeting up with you at the duthie park between 8:30-9:00am so if you could all wait for him and the elgin mob that would be great(also if one of you could PM coullstar and see if he wants to join up with you from Forfar onwards that'll be cool too ......anyway i've told "lumley" aka martin(exC vr6 owner) to meet you all there and wait for matt...........as i will be setting off a bit earlier to help sort out parking and order of going on............which brings me to my other idea.......instead of normally just parking round the back next to star's workshop door if everyone could park at the front (on the gravel too) just as you turn into Star's main entrance and what i'm thinking of doing is putting the cars on 1 from each group.........ie i'll be going on first* then 1 from the South group(Glasgow etc....i believe Fat Tony would want to be first on) then 1 from the North group(Aberdeen/Elgin) then 1 from the East group(Edinburgh) turn-about etc so if you can organise your order between yourselves too that'll be grand  -
and the beetle GT was available in loverly tomato red IIRC
-
though i have'nt downloaded from that particular site....i would imagine its the same m-peg i've also got with a C skinning an Audi coupe or coupe quattro(81-88shape)..........which it should as these made about the same power (maybe just a fraction more)as a 16v C........
