    Carbon Crazy

i was always under the impression that genuine CF is expensive full stop unless its just the fake CF looking stuff
  3.   famous last words matt............thats what i was planning on doing too
  4. too small for the front( i think) and the back badge is a stick-on type and i think the proper back one is a bit smaller than those ones.....but i suppose no harm in trying
  5. it should do............but i'm 99% sure it is a VR you have........i reckon the previous owner went for the "stealth" look.....
  6. well i have Koni coil-overs(under £700) and although it is a bit harsher round town than the standard set-up it is by no means unbearable but its all worth it on country roads and A-roads......though i've also had approx a 65mm drop
  7. one other thing that is probably making the speedlines look lost will be the fact it is probably running on standard suspension which gives it too much of a 4x4 look.....if you lowered it a bit you'll find then the wheels don't look that small......
  8. yes 15 inch wheels were the standard with the 4 cylinder cars having 4-stud wheels and the VR's having 5 studs....AFAIK the Corrado was never offered with optional 16 inch wheels......though some dealers could supply 16 inch wheels IIRC....not very good looking wheels either....sport-radar's IIRC........i would reckon its pretty safe to assume that at least 99% of Corrado's fitted with 16inch or bigger wheels would have had them fitted "aftermarket"
  9. i just love that colour combo 8) ............and its pretty rare too looks like you 've got a good'un there matt  all it needs is lowered a bit and that'll make it look even better.......you got any mods planned for it?
  10. these ex-Corrado owners honestly     ok i'll lock this one up for you
  11. hehehehehe......thought you youngsters were meant to be with it with computa-speak!!!....anyway i take it as meaning.....As Far As I Know
  12. canna wait!!  but AFAIK its only one(a certain very very nice black VR 8) ) Corrado on tonite
  13. right if you have a look in the "common corrado questions" section we should have a buying guide to help you that has some information on the VR6 as for badges these can be obtained from either a VW dealer or GPC all Corrados had 15inch alloys as standard and of course wheels are a matter of personal taste i'm a big fan of the speedlines so i would keep them if it was my car as for your £1k "extra" i would keep this in the bank til you get any "wee" niggles sorted out first......as a VR can wipe out £1k mechanical repairs quicker than you can imagine if its a bad'un  anyway good luck and keep us posted on when you get it BTW...welcome to the forum
  14. your friendly local VW dealer will do you a set of quantum(VW's-own brand)plug leads for the VR6 for just under £60 the set(for both coil-pack and dizzy ones).........but they might also try and sell you them individually at approx £17.50 per lead........so best thing to do is go for the Quantum set.......also its wise to invest in the proper "Hazet" plug lead removal tool which is approx £16-£17 from the dealer too........if you still have the original plastic plug lead removal tool this is next to useless IMHO especially for trying to put the leads back on
  15. looking good! btw.....there appears to be a little person trying to half-inch tail-lights
  16. right as the RR day is only a week away i thought i might take the opportunity of remiding you all of a few points to be noted for the RR day...... 1)please ensure that your car has all fluid levels checked and topped up where neccesary and that your tyre pressures are what they should be.......we don't want any mechanical problems to rear their ugly head due to lack of oil or coolant......could be highly embarrassing    2)please remember to take at least £20 to pay for your session(or £25 if you haven't paid a deposit to me........ )......i should hopefully have a RR-day C-forum T-shirt which i'll be taking orders on.........also there should be a burger van nearby so that you won't be going hungry  3)please DO NOT treat the area in and around Star-Performance as a "private"-road,as it no doubt can lead to complaints etc which might jeopordise future RR-days..........also please respect the other businesses that have units next to Star-Performance also  4)if your car has major tracking/suspension geometry issues.....ie you have to fight the wheel to keep it in a straight line then it could well be advisable to have this sorted before next sunday or risk having a RR run aborted 5)and WRAP UP WARMLY......it'll no doubt be baltic both inside and outside  anyway hopefully it should be a good day and i'll see you all there.......remember and introduce yourself to me(unless you already know me of course)as it'll be good to put faces to names etc
  17. speaking of which.........i spotted a real tidy A-plate Mk1 Golf in the same colour as yours parked at the Bus stop at the top of wellington road when i was nipping down to the chinese last nite.........it looked pretty mint too

    Carbon Crazy

centre console guage panels no doubt would go down a treat........both RHD and LHD........
  21. thats where Henny is meaning.....its basically the shelf between your engine bay and where the bottom of the windscreen is and should only be accesible with the hood/bonnet open
  22. think its a VR going by his user ID steve
  23. i'll move this into the "inside your interior" section
  24. sounds more like the hydraulic clutch having a "wee" problem......haven't experienced it on my Storm yet(fingers-crossed i won't)....but had it happen in both my 944 turbo and ur-quattro.....in the 944 it was down to the fact the clutch master cylinder was leaking.......all over the lovely beige carpets too  and with the ur-quattro it was a hairline crack in the clutch fluid reservoir which when it went down to a certain level meant the clutch pedal would stick to the floor and not come back up unless i hooked it up with my foot best to check your fluid level...........its also the same reservoir for your brakes btw
