I had the same problem with mine,it turned out to be a bit of trapped wiring to the e/w motor...........it was shorting out against the insides of the door
-
of course you could see if UR-quattro digi-dash clocks are an easier fit............dunno how you'd work the revs tho as the UR is a 5-cylinder
-
probably not far short of £16k,if its a run-out one...............a friend had a J-plate Oak green valver and its original invoice was scary reading
-
aaahhhhh get you now..............delivery charge
-
good call Mave.............that was approx the same 0-60 as what EVO quotes for the C VR
-
................and non-existant too
-
i had a hand in the demise of an Inca Blue G60 this year  ...............tho most of its parts did go to help other C's live longer
-
think it depends on whether you go by VW figs or EVO mag's figs, tho he's possibly right as most of the comparable accl/top speed motors at the time were either 4WD or RWD

He must have got the £495 registration fee wavered. The automatic version was £23,398.95 + the registration fee. whats this registration fee btw????...............if its the new car registration fee you are on about............thats has only been around the past 6years or so...........and it was only £25 when it was introduced, its now £38 tho funnily enough
-
and from memory Diavia wanted between £1k-£1.5k for A/C,I remember going in to the local VW dealer and they were having an A/C sale on retro-fitted systems..............reduced from £1.5k to the bargain £1k  ,this was circa 1995 too
-
when you chose leather you got the heated seats as part of the deal,so any UK-spec C with leather seats and no switches is normally a sign of them being retro-fitted
-
too slow joe
-
circa £16k-£17k without options main options at the time were met paint,Recaro seats,E/W(tho possibly std fit by 1990) same with the E/S/R,leather interior

not VERY...........its Extremely...........PLEASE DON'T EVEN CONSIDER DOING THIS.......its just a complete scam READ THIS http://www.4x4web.co.uk/scamexamples.html Scam Warning Emails in bad english offering to buy your item and paying by Cashiers Cheque, building society or Bankers draft for an amount greater than you are asking, then to send the balance on once the cheque has cleared. This is a scam using stolen/forged bank drafts/cheques which can clear in 3 days and bounce in two months. You may then have no car, and have paid the scammer the surplus cash and your bank pulls the total amount back. DO NOT REPLY. The NCIS (UK National Criminal Intelligence Service) are aware of this variation on the West African Fraud.

no-one buys a car without checking it out first........................to check him out tell him that the car was miss-priced and should be up for sale for £4k,if thats ok with him you'll still do business with him and deduct the £4k from the £10k chq..........if he agrees without much of a fight then that shows how much of a scam it is
-
you might get away with it as std VR wheels are 6.5 inch wide......
-
from memory chubbybrown on here, his missus's C only has e/mirrors
-

difference between heater exchange and heater matrix
vr6storm replied to paddyg's topic in Engine Bay
it should look like a "mini" radiator the std oil-cooler is also known as a heat exchanger tho,but it looks nothing like a radiator and its part of the oil-filter housing -
well as technically you should really only drive with a space saver for a few miles to get a puncture repaired and at a max of 50mph/80 km/h I'd say it would be ok to still keep with 17s
-
I've still got my Solitudes stashed away(well they are on a mate's Mk3 temp).......but I think the Corrado deffo suits BBS RX/RX2's more just a pity VW didn't fit them as standard...........tho Ive just got myself a set of Speedlines as thats another classy wheel
