its maybe the way this world is going..........but...........was the ebay seller local and genuine???
-
from memory of when I had my BMW compact done in 1999......you should just need a crime number from the Police, then call your Ins company to find out who they have as an approved glass repairer, book it in then when you are booked in take your policy with you and the glass XS fee..........not sure if its per pane of glass or the whole lot of damage........like i said tho if you have fully comp you'll only have a small XS to pay..........this is totally different from your normal accident damage XS...........the only way it'll affect your normal insurance is if you claim for the stolen equipment(provided its been covered),I just bit the bullet and bought a new hi-fi when mine was stolen
-
btw what did they steal?
-
your glass XS should be under £100 if you are Fully comp................it shouldn't get counted as a claim on your NCB either
-
do a search its been mentioned a few times................I remember the 944 based ones too
-
not to mention the fun you'll have sourcing a non-sunroof headlining
-
sounds like its the thermostat housing................if it is the costs are under £100 if you put it to a $tealer
-
if you want to keep it,then keep and bring it over(i take it you are coming back to blighty to live)..........it might be a slight pain to drive over here but there are plenty ppl over here driving left hookers so its not as massive a hardship as you might think
-
agree with Jim..............in hindsight I'd have got Star-Performance or G-werks to have given it a clean bill of health rather than VW
-
interior stuff could be 16v or G60..........not sure about the steering rack...........its not cost effective IMHO unless you are going to do the conversion yourself and can get hold of a donor C for pennies
-
well for a start you'll have to buy dash, steering column, steering rack, pedal box, door cards(unless you keep 2 switches on pass side) plus god knows what other RHD bits you'll need, your not exactly asking the world price wise as is
-
tbh its not going to be cost effective.........best either take a bigger loss on it or keep as is,if you can drive LHD you will be able to drive it over here, just have to be more cautious etc
-
Was the Corrado the first car to have...............
vr6storm replied to Bojmobile's topic in General Car Chat
they came out 87/88 IIRC too -
late interior?............if so get these bought http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=51290 then go to town on the stubborn one..........
-
you can get the door card off with the door shut if you are very careful.........the screw holes in the door card sides will be the only damage if you are careful when you remove it,it can be done but as I've mentioned very carefully..........what interior is it you have btw as it might be better sourcing another door card and just "going" to town on the existing one.............it'll be easier than hammering thru the door skin thats for sure
-
bear in mind you also need his recaro loom I'd say £300-£400 plus your interior
-
there's only one bulb in the later rotarty heater controls btw.........so they ain't the most illuminated of parts at the best of times
-
you haven't accidentally turned the ins light rheostat switch to low(the knurled bit beside the switch) by any chance?

    your dad wanna adopt me? please

is it an Ur-Quattro turbo or just its plain jane sister quattro coupe firstly? if its a C-reg turbo it should have(I had a D-plate turbo btw) LCD dash,8inch wide ronal wheels and of course a 10v turbo lump ............if you thought a C G60 was expensive to run/fix then discount the Ur-Quattro immediatley...........it will rape you daily with its 20gal fuel tank that used to cost me over £50 per week back in 1995/96.........that was when it was approx £2.50 per gall too, parts are hideous too, rear brake calipers were £120 ea and were known for siezing on,even stupid things were Quattro only so had a premium price tag,the bumpers come in 2 parts too(an inner and outer) and cost approx £400ea(back in 95/96),tyres are specific to the car too and although only 15ince they have a unique profile 215/50/VR50 IIRC again back in 95/96 you were looking at approx £170 for 1!..........one thing ppl forget is that this was Audi's flagship and was sales competition for 944 Turbo's and even 911's back in the 80's word of wisdom I heard from the local quattro-owner club sec was to spend £10k buying a decent one and still have £10k in reserve  -
you can't chip a 1.8 16v................its mechanical fuel injection so doesn't have a chippable ECU
-
think Jerseystorm did...........well he bought his from new at anyrate
