Well, I guess that box just replicates what the ABS ECU asks the pump unit to do - probably not that complicated compared to modern systems... looks a good setup though and lifetime warranty! Discs and Pads - he did say £25 a corner and 4 Pagid/ATE Discs and Pads come to just under £100 inc VAT from carparts4less and maybe slightly cheaper from ECP on trade I guess (That doesn't, of course include the rear bearings / abs cages though)

Halfords Black middle 3 drawer tool chest £90 B/H weekend
Supercharged replied to Dox's topic in General Car Chat
Nice one - yeah I think they quoted me £139 on trade when it came out which I thought was a lot but could be tempted at that price... Have you seen they also do green industrial cabs too now? Moving to suppliers. -
Sure it's not also a petrol leak??

Eibach springs wont fit corrado vr6 storm 95/96..Top mount issue?
Supercharged replied to ShivasRegal's topic in Drivetrain
Ah - maybe I got that the wrong way round - back in the day people used to complain that Eibachs didn't sit evenly but that might no longer be the case... Have a search on here - lots of info! -

You might want to consider buying the 10mm lowering ones that you can get as many complain the those springs can make the car sit nose-high -
Hmmm - doesn't sound right, should be perfectly flush as far as i'm aware - it's interference. Not sure if you're aware but the G60 valves are also Sodium filled to deal with the heat

Yeah.. the DPF :-) I think you can bypass them now but they're ok as long as you do the miles... Other than that the 2.0 engine is good although maybe not quite as reliable as the older 1.9's - just make sure you get a good one with history etc. MK5 parts are generally cheap, especially consumable / wear parts from TPS. Obviously there is the issue with the front wings rusting and some early cars will now be almost out of the 12 year warranty period so buy a late one and keep an eye on them.

T-cuts no good really for orignal paint as it's so hard... you need to look at the 3M products like Fast Cut Plus etc... I'd have a word with a local body shop or detailer for advice...

Great price, I have an original too which I didn't pay a fortune for but think it must have been £40-£50.
-
Ah well done, at least you know what it is... Must have been a serious failure to bend the fork - they're fairly thick metal!!
-
Hi mate, yeah it's a knock sensor - it's done up to a specified torque, needs to be screened and also kept away from coolant hoses but won't affect the starting of the car
-
There isn't one on a G60 - just the hall sender in the distributor... Often aftermarket alarms cut the spark to immobilize - there maybe some sort of hidden fuse associated. I'd also check all the connections for the bits you changed - it worked first time do maybe try the old coil again if you suspect the switch was faulty or vice versa.
-
Welcome to the forum :-) Did you use a genuine switch? Maybe give it another try tomorrow and check fuses etc
