  1. My headlining has recently started sagging in a couple of places - the fabric has started to come away from the headlining card, if you get my drift - and I was hoping that there's some way of re-glueing it back up... Has anyone had this, and has anyone got any suggestions for how to sort it? I was thinking about trying to kind of spray/inject some sort of mounting spray glue behind the fabric to stick it back up... Cheers guys!
  2. Well, I was gonna suggest a Merc 190 Cosworth, but thought it might be a little old considering what else you were looking at...! They have either a 2.3 or 2.5 16V 4-pot NA lump, with either an auto or more commonly the Getrag dog-leg first manual gearbox, half- or full-leather... Merc 190 interior trim not really up to the quality of the Corrado, but they're rwd, and apparently quite chuckable! Like this one! EDIT: Damnit, just noticed that's an auto! But you get the idea... :)
  3. A Sharon, Sharan, I mean...! Heheh, yeah, I knows I got class...! ;) Hmmmm, so JT, what are the main criteria for yr next car then?
  4. I think you also have the dubious honour of being the only person to ground their splitter on the way up the ramps!
  5. Ah, I thought you already had 'em! Having looked at that link, I'm really liking the Merc-look of the Dezent RH's actually...
  6. Much as I absolutely adore the BBS splits, I have to say I think the RH's suit yrs better... Still a better car than I'll ever have!
  7. Yup, 5-spokes always seem to suit the 'Rado... Get 'em on and get some pix up!
  8. Tell me about it...! If and when you do the same stuff that I did, PM me with yr phone no. and I'll happily give you a call and let you know any niggles I found... And after a week of no beer cos of being on Ibuprofen every day to help my back, I have never enjoyed a beer as much as the ice-cold Bud I've just had... Life don't get much better than this!
  9. Looks nice and clean mate! Welcome to the forum...
  10. Got her running cool again - praise be! Cleaned her in preparation of the RR day tomorrow - gonna fit the new ECU chip in the morning...
  11. Looks very nice, welcome to the forum!
  12. eBay.de! Soon you will all fall under the spell of the Borbet A, but nay, none of thee shall have the 17 inches of goodness, nay... sorry about that... Brand new, they can be found at: http://www.styledynamix.co.uk http://www.supergolfs.co.uk http://www.dubmeister.co.uk
  13. WOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! She is fixed! New Parts: New standard oil cooler New oil temp switch Neuspeed 180deg stat (that's 80deg C to you) Full coolant flush Oil change Temps are now: Motorway: Coolant - 80-85, Oil - 110-112 Town: Coolant - 85-95 dependant on traffic, Oil - around 106 It could just have been something as simple as the oil temp switch on it's own, but I'm not too fussed to be honest! Thank-you to all of you who made suggestions and offered sympathy - it has been very appreciated! Right, now to fix the rest of the stuff that doesn't work...!
  14. Don't get the GSF one if it is the switch, get a genuine VAG one! By all accounts, they're a lot better for only a few dollars more...

  16. Noticed the other day that the black paint on my sill was cracked in a couple of places (possibly in part to me putting the trolley jack sliiiiiiiiiiightly too near the centre of the sill ) - is there any specific paint I can use that will have the same texture/finish? Cheers!
  17. Absolutely sweet, looks really good! 8)
  18. Dunno, but hot damn, I'm trying that!
  19. Ben, I can't wait to see this, just like everyone else... Hopefully catch you guys in Henley next weekend... Reckon she'll be ready for E38?
  20. Yeah, I'd have said ignition switch. With the ignition in the normal driving position, try disconnecting the +ve terminal of the starter solenoid and bridging the solenoid to the battery (without electrucuting yourself of course!) - if the starter turns then I'd say ingnition switch...
  21. Very nice, better than shelling out 700notes on 12yr-old seats... Welcome to the dead-cow-skin club! ;)
  22. Looking pretty good actually - and the headlamp protectors mean they sit level with the grille too! Reckon you need to spray that badge black though, to complete the "mean" look... :)
