Alternatively, put the tool kit in first, then stick the wheel on top, spokes-up. to hide it - job done! :)

What are you looking to do exactly? If you need a website where you can store pics to lik to, then http://www.villagephotos.com is free and pretty good. If you just want to add pics to a post, then click the "Add Attachment" button when creating a "full" reply, as opposed to the "quick" reply at the bottom of the page... hope this helps! :)

I have no idea, but it did have "Neuspeed" stamped on it IIRC! :) -
HELP - Over heating issues since intercooler fitment

If the bottom rad hose is staying cool then it could well be a stat issue - personally, I'd run one of the Neuspeed 180deg stats from AwesomeGTI, they're well worth it... Alternatively, if you just want a std replacement VW one, then I've got a brand new one you can have for a few pannies... -
The guy I work with does marshalling for drag races up at Shakespeare (formerly Avon) County Raceway, and knows the guy who runs it - apparently it's a "little bit mental"!
-
I'd buy one for a dollar...! ;)

Welcome to the forum chap!
-
Yeah, you should have a rubber bellows type thing 'twixt door and body that you can pass the wires through, then just take the lower dash trim off and feed the wires up behind the dash...
-
Unfortunately it's not that simple, as the VR6 front hubs won't fit without changing the driveshafts as the spline sizes are different - and the MK3 Golf items are the same apparently... Unless you go for custom-drilled hubs (can't re-drill your existing ones as the holes would overlap), then it can't be done AFAIK... Unless someone wants to correct me?! Oh, and welcome to the forum mate! Apologies that the first response you got was a bit of a negative!

Reconditioning alloy wheels, two tone paint job

A word of warning - don't use Spit & Polish...! I hear Pristine are supposed to be pretty good... -
That really does suck - it's pure jealousy, plain and simple... I know it's no consolation, but at least it wasn't the roof... I hope those responsible develop testicular cancer - actually, that's an impossibility as they obviously have no balls anyway... My sympathy is with you - I once had a car stolen and torched so I genuinely know how you feel...
-
Actually, not all 2.0 valvers had the late interior - scarlett's is a J-plate 2.0 16V and has the early interior...

I suspect that the wiring for the dash/door speakers on the Corrado is the same as on the Passat - the mid and the tweeter are wired in parallel to each other. Get yourself to a scrappy and get the mids, tweeters, and speaker wires out of any 88-92 Passat, then you won't have to re-route your rear speaker wiring! Hope this helps!
-
Yeah, I'd agree - valver prices do seem to be on the decline compared with nice G60s and VRs... Bear in mind also that "solid" and "well-made" are not usually terms used when referring to Corrados as they were never actually assembled by VW themselves, but Karmann (who designed them)! If you're not an enthusiast before you buy one, chances are you'll become one soon enough! Not that this should put you off, just warning you that they're not always the most maintenance-free car... ;) Oh, and welcome to the forum by the way!

So how did you spend your Saturday evening?
gradeAfailure replied to Blown's topic in General Car Chat
To be fair to Phil, he did keep his keks on - for the sake of modesty, decency, and quite possibly the sanity of those present...! ;) -

Soo should have had your phone mate, you missed a mental party! Some guy's 30th and they spent £15k on the party! Free alcohol + heated pool + posh surrey totty = girls stripping off and jumping in the pool! Errrrrr, yeah, and Phil! Got in at 6am and have spent most of today feeling a bit "special"... Same again next weekend?! -
I take it you've not seen any oil in with the coolant, or vice-versa, to indicate that the head gasket's gone?
-
Yup, I'd say check the guides too - my window slows right down in the last 5cm or so of travel on the way up, and I think it's the guide causing it...

Corrado help needed for a wannabe corrado owner
gradeAfailure replied to Hank_Marvin's topic in General Car Chat
If you can stretch to £2k and find a decent insurer, I can't think of a valver I'd choose over this one - Click here -
Errrr, std size for 15" rims on a MK2 Golf would be 195/50-15, would it not? I know it's fine for a 7" wide wheel, so wouldn't have thought the stretch on a 7.5" would be too bad?
-
Dave like Passat! But then I may be a leeetle biased on this one... :) Definitely lose the tassels tho'...

I suspect the wobble would go if the wheel was on the back, but tbh I'm more concerned as to why I have an out of true wheel now, as I've not hit anything with it... It could be that this wheel was originally on the back of the car before the refurb, so I wouldn't have noticed that it was out of true. Though as I had the lips of the wheels diamond-turned during the refurb, this would have been raised then as you can't lathe something that's out of true... Is it possible tht the wheel is not sitting absoluely flush on the mounting face for some reason? Due to paint in the centre bore of the wheel, they are a rather tight fit... I have sanded this down but maybe I need to remove more? As for the conversion, I think I need to get the car to a state where I'm happy with it as it is, rather than just compounding my misery by trying to take more stuff on... Maybe I'll just go buy a Saxo... ;)

Right, bit of an update... After noticing that the offside front wheel seemed to be a little out of true on the RR day, today I took off the wheel and brake disc and cleaned up all the mating faces and made sure everything was aligned and located correctly... Yet, when you spin the wheel you can definitely see that it is marginally out of true. Is there any surefire way of confirming this or ruling it out, other that sending it to a (reputable) wheel repair place...? Starting to wish I'd bought something else now, I really can't afford all this grief... :(

Man, having seen this in the metal, if I had £4k I'd be biting your arm off to have this - such a lovely G60! Good luck with the sale mate...

Copycats... ;) heheh... Very nice indeed Dennis!
