  1. Where is the URL to go look at this site then Ian? Chris
  2. There is plenty of power to come from the old 12v and is cheaper to do at the moment as the 24v engines are still well expensive and the one of chouce is the R32 else you could do a 1.8T conversion, i've heard that there's some over 400bhp, thelad that works at Stealth says his should deliver 450bhp when finished, we'll wait and see if that rings true mind! Chris
  3. What you need now is a nice shiny V9 supercharger to finish it off! Chris

    clutches.

Hi mate, if you don't get sorted or want something a little more up to the job then give me a call and we can talk about getting you a paddle clutch or something more special then the std setup. http://www.japspeed.net/clutch.htm Chris 07930507545
  5. The inside is smooth and tapered so tightening it onto the spline will make it fix into position but you may need to try a washer or two to get the pressure to clamp it enough. Chris
  6. Been done to death and only recently, suould find plenty in the search. I got my Eurosport one from NS Racing Chris
  7. If it cracks, weld it, it's steel! The art of exhaust manifolds is to keep the heat in, not dissapate it! Anyone knowing thier stuff and has a performance tubular exhaust will also have it heat wrapped to keep the heat in the pipes. There is no such thing as a VSR exhaust manifold to my knowledge my friend, crossed wires somewhere! Chris
  8. hehehe, i chuckle! So it's in in Suppliers then! Good first few posts, i'll do a set of Skyline ones and post the pics up then see how they look etc. Chris
  9. I'm wondering if this is a good place for this type of thing. I'm going to be trying things out, one of them is brake caliper refurbishment. This can include renewing pistons and seals, good for the rears that's for sure and finishing the calipers in an anodized coating of possibly different shades/colours. Prices aren't decided upon at this point but all services will be professionally executed and guaranteed! What do you think?
  10. Even a crappy clutch shouldn't judder right away, more likely to have contamination on the friction surfaces like oily finger prints would in some cases make this happen, some areas of engine work need to be treat like an operating theater. Chris
  11. Well a few posts ago i said i showed 165mph on my clock and sure it would have kept going to 170mph! So what's mine, chopped liver? Pretty much the top end is governed by gearing anyway. Chris
  12. That's chassis for you! Chris
  13. Well this is a surprise, a thread this deep aboout standard VR's! Well i guess i'll shout in. I've seen 160mph many times when the car was normally aspirated and 165mph on the clock when charged. And no, it was never on a private road, very much on a public road every time other wise it's less fun! Chris
  14. Yip grammar is questionable Paul! It's silly to go to all the effort of breaking a nice car for the sake oof it, just get the alarm fixed for god's sake! Chris
  15. Any shorter car and they would have perrished! If he owned a Corrado he'd be dead! Chris
  16. I'm sure there's been some deaths in them there cars. Things need to be safer, like lampposts for one! Chris
  17. You'd have a bit of a headache if one of those feces(Pheaton) landed on ya from above though it all looks very pretty and high tech! Chris
  18. I'd just phone around scrappys, you'll find one! Chris
  19. I never left! I drive Skylines all the time but would get rid of all of them before the VR! Chris
  20. The silly gearing you refer to Kev is fitted to the 'RA' version and you're right they top out at not too high a speed. I do a fair few conversions for people whom are running around in thier car which is still in KMH.Just a fortnight ago i canverted a mitsubishi FTO to MPH from KMH, he'd had the car for 2 years but couldn't find anyone to convert it! He found us in the Yellow Pages! I was stunned, first contact from the Yellow Pages we've had in a Year! Chris
  21. NY Greetings from me! Chris
  22. Funny this! H8RRA's VR has blown up a few of these and we kind of put it down to either a sticking valve not closing fully as the engine had been apart and standing for a long time or the buckets(followers) or tappets some may call them were not squished enough and thus won't let the valve close and a backfire causing the ISV air reservoir to explode. This may or may not be correct i don't know but this thread may shed more light on it. If the 6lead coil pack has 2 leads per coil then it makes sense that it will spark twice a cycle. If there was vaporised fuel in the inlet or exhaust when the second spark fired this would cause the explosion. More explanation is needed me thinks Chris
