dinkies, lol yeah good project, you wouldn't be the first! Didn't wish for my comments to come across the wrong way and i agree with your words but was more thinking of the forum as a hardcore of corrado enthusiasts but i know that doesn't mean that everyone has to be a mechanic, just spoke without contemplating my words first! Chris

That made me chuckle!!! Wonder what she's think ing about the little tinker!  Chris

There's one thing that has surprised me reading this thread!!!!! Ant that's the comments about how great it would be to have that knowledge about engines etc!! I'm a little startled, and possibly a touch disappointed to boot. I enjoyed watching the vid, and no stranger to building engines myself, i was watching to see some key points as to what he would do. To my surprise, he did a really good job and inserted the rings then straightened them with a piston corwn and measured the gap just where the most wear would occur then adjusted the gap with a rin grinder, verry impressed he took as much care to do it right as he should have, though nothing he did there was difficult or out of the ordinary, in fact he could have done more but for the vid it was a sterling job! So when some people on here shout up and say that some users are purely into the chromed bits and have no mechanical ability, it seems it's true and as i said, i'm surprised but that's fine and i'm not having a dig here so don't take it the wrong way anyone, that includes Dr Mat! Funny thing this, The SVA was changed to an ESVA back in April this year and the SVA is far far trickier than Mat said, I know, i do them on my import cars!! The indicators need to have the illuminated portion above the minimum height of 350mm from the ground so lowered cars may fail and it needs to have the origional type of exhaust which was on at test to comply with the 'Model Report' that was passed at the time they put that particular car forward for examination and the other things are crazy. We actually failled an ESVA for having the wrong type of wheel nut, they were after market wheel nuts for after market alloys and failled as they were different to what was needed to secure the wheel in place. Body kits would fail if any radiussed edge has a curve of less than 2.5mm or exceeds the 'Body Plan' of the vehicle, ie. sticks out further that any other part of the car etc, etc, etc............. Welcome to the forum geeza! I like Toffee! Chris

All looking nice though i am surprised there's no performance description or words from Tom Chris

bristolbaron, Cheers, spot on! It's the only one decalled up like that and for the reason that it's a competitor at certain events and only comes out for that reason and every company in this line needs a demo/show car to get their name about Chris
-
But he asked why! so can you offer support for your statement? I'd like to hear your answer, just out of interest, i know i have a VR but non the less bigger injectors are on the cards for me too Chris

That concept liner has been around for some time and i'd be happy to own one but mega money to buy i'll bet! Glancing at the black liner i had a shock, i have the same wheels on one of mine! and i thought they were rare those Works wheels! before the decals  This is the one with the 150bhp nitrous on too and a mines ECU, it's got a nifty side exit screamer pipe that makes a whole lot of noise on throttle and dumps un wanted exhaust gasses out the side behind the front wheel Mine all mine  Chris
-
carpoid, that can't be right! The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 12mm LESS The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 38mm Where is my stut? Chris

Looks like you broke it, they are sensitive to a number of things, do a google search, it'll surprise you Chris

Quote: "Speed cameras normally have to be clearly visible, according to government guidelines. Police are allowed to conduct covert enforcement only in exceptional circumstances where “extreme car drivers or motorbike riders” are engaged in high-speed racing." I'm so screwed! Chris

It's the thing that stops the nuts and bolts dropping into the hole and getting lost in the clutch Chris

Damn i chuckled! Chris

H8RRA used one on his VR as did CorradoStorm Chris
-
Yeah but he wants over £300 Chris

From memory the Ferodo's are pretty good but very dusty Chris
-
then they are no good for me as they must be 14-16ohms and i'm not bodging in resistors. The VR ecu can't drive low impedance injectors, it gets hot and blows the driver transistor. Chris

Fine for general use, i used simplar tools from the Nwecastle quayside Sunday market but the quality difference is the feel in the hand and the exact measurement of the jaws, the 13mm for example is sometimes not exactly 13mm and as this if often the most used it wears and further looses the accuract causing rounded corners on the fixings. Snap-on and Mac tools are great and i've spent thousands of pounds on them but for general use the tools you illustrated are fine. Chris
-
Then i will buy some but need 6 obviously. Do you know the impedance? Chris
-
Not sure if the 312mm will make much of a difference from the 288mm ones anyway, mine are so good, i need to see the 312mm setup work properly. Chris
-
So do i take it that is for four or is it an individual price? Chris
-
erm, the Stradale isn't an old car at all! Chris
