  1. Geordie, not to worry mate, i've seen places and situations that are a different culture to where i am though i hanker to be better and aspire to raise my state. Dreams of being born in a different time/place however i'm also glad i'm not some poor little starving cambodian child so i'm keeping my feet on the ground but would like better things. Has anyone seen a site some guy did about his M5 BMW? he called it his M5 shrine, i've had a look on Google for it to offer a link but can't find it. Chris
  2. I've had a number of BMW's but nothing like that woo-hoo! and the good old Vortech V2SQ to boot! I have a Nikon F5 camera which was a fortune and pretty much regarded as the best of the best in sports 35mm gear, just a shame it's not a digital as i use and need digital images more and more these days. That guy lives in a different world, i'd love to live his life and i'm sure a number of others on here would agree, look at the street and the surroundings, it depresses me where in the world i'm living when you see places like that. Chris
  3. Maybe he thought he'd try his best to get as close to home as possible whilst it's still going, it's happened to me and i got home on 3cylinders in my Escort MKII many many years ago. Chris
  4. Bargain, i have a dizzy so don't need one bit i want to buy it for only a fiver myself! I was told once by vince that the cams may be caused to flex and bossibly bend taking off the bolt so it's suggested to use a windy gun to remove them as the hammer action loosens the bolt without the torque you would apply with a socket & retchet. Chris
  5. A big thanks to dazzyvr6 for the VR6 radiator top hose, kind bloke indeed and sorted it very quickly and even posted it frist class. This is what a forum community should be. Cheers again Dazzyvr6 Chris
  6. Nothing can substitute for a custom remap mind, but the map you are going to use should make a noticable difference to using the std chip Chris
  7. I can't get Ch5 at all, just white noise with a ghost image, bloody trees! Chris
  8. it's a learning curve. Too loose and the alternator may not grip enough and the lights may go dim. Too tight will lead to premature failure of water pump bearings and power steering pump which is obvious so you need to flex it between the two, if it slipd tighten it up a little at a time. The toothed charger drive belt, the little one, need not be tight as the main belt is because it is toothed, there is a proceedure to follow to tension this small belt else you will cause premature failure of the belt and charger bearings alike. Chris
  9. Guy H bought his new or ex demo from a showroom IIRC and his has been modded to hell! Modding is fun and keeps you in love with the car. Chris
  10. I't nice to see that even in this climate there are still camels roaming around! Chris
  11. Generally you will find little black grains of rubber dust on the charger which are caused by the belt slipping and you'll be able to smell some hot rubber smell  Chris
  12. The answer to the cam question is easy! The reason for a cam change is generally to gain power/performance. Burning fuel gives you power if you can get the correct amount of air to the point where the fuel is going to be ignited. The cams will simply let more air into the engine so the fueling needs the essential adjustment of a re=map to make changing the cams worth while else it's a waste of time and money. Let exhaust exit more easily, If air resistance or back-pressure makes it hard for exhaust to exit a cylinder, it robs the engine of power. If the exhaust pipe is too small or the silencer has a lot of air resistance then this can cause back-pressure. High-performance exhaust systems use gasflowed manifolds, big tail pipes and free-flowing silencers to eliminate back-pressure in the exhaust system. So i hear you ask yourself, is maintaning back-pressure a myth or what! A drag racer with 3500bhp uses pipes 22inches long that exit the cylinder head and look at the sky, where's the back-pressure there? Cut the box out. Another thing is make everything lighter, Lightweight parts help the engine perform better. Each time a piston changes direction it uses up energy to stop the travel in one direction and start it in another. The lighter the piston, the less energy it takes. Lighter parts also allow the engine to rev faster, giving it more horsepower. Chris
  13. There are many reasons for unburned fuel in the exhaust, often due to poor ignition in standard engines where the flame front doesn't complete a full burn in the compression chamber poss due to poor design or crap leads or other ignition componant, after that there are conditions deriving from tuning parts used as you said, else it's just fun if you like it, i want one just for the fun of it on dark nights, i'm not a chav but probably haven't grown up as much as i should have! Chris
  14. My, it is fun re-reading my lastnight posts! You're not penises at all, i love you all  Sorry! Chris
  15. Great guns, don't fprget to give me a ring when you are heading up/dpwn past us, more than happy to spend some time or even have a pint/can and a chin wag to a fellow SVR owner! Chris

Will someone give us a picture of this piece of crap or what? SPERM! Chris
  17. There seems to be bags of cockwaffle on this thread! If you don't want it send it to me i'll fit it to my SVR and spit some foookin' flames from my arse and no messing, so keep it and i'll buy one from egay or let me have it or keep quiet about it and you won't get banned for voicing your question from the overmoderators whom aren't mods at all, just limp penises with nothing to do! lol hahaha! Christinos
  18. I'd use a bag of sperm if it works properly! Surely the overlap won't help if it's too much though, and a correctly ground cam woould be better, mush have a chat to these guys sometime! Chirs
  19. Not true my fury little SC friend! The Raceland ones are specified for the Corriolli but in LHD though i have it on good grounds from someone that;'s fitted it to a VR that it's bloody marvelous! So if you don't smoke i suggest you start! Chrisps
  20. Wonder what the lift etc is, do they do cams specifically for forced induction? Chris
  21. What did it end up costing and where is the power band etc? Chris
  22. I can drift mine around some corners, H8RRA was in the car once when i was on full opposite lock and on the power to keep it pulling and maintain the drift, this has happened numerous times! Chris
  23. Yeah, sounds wrong, are you an enthusiast or a speculator? Chris
