It's in f:cking Surrey! Chris
-
I have fitted a number of them, both VF & VT and there's nothing to go wrong! The big washer goes on underneath to stop it pulling through and that's it! Chris
-
Where's the 205/40/17 comparrison then Kevin? Chris
-
Your suggested sizes are just too big. I've tried the 45's and the 215's and just a chew on cos the arches will definately catch and probably scuff the inner arches. Chris
-
should be able to slide it down a bit then take the trim off as it looks like the button will go through the slot then it'll unbolt i think Never had to take one off but wouldn't have though it would cause a problem, why are you removing all that stuff? Chris
-
So it's SQUARE! Poor lad  Chris

It's just getting silly now. I wonder how many gays there are on this forum apart from Kev nice colour Gaywire erm... Haywire  Chris

i see mod is thicker than water! The quiche shift is  is the pie eaters keep fit shift version, i indeed meant to type quick shift, you can vary the length of the shift to individual liking, not just a one position situation. H8RRA has one on his that is too short for me and i don't like it but the one i left on my car for Chrishill is just the ticket and isn't unduly notchy in any way but takes the quiche out of the shift. Chris

You need to get the camber and tracking set up after replacing the suspension as it will be wildly out and be sure to note where the top mount is set as this will affect the handling and geometry loads Chris
-
I'm getting one but will have to buy the obdI adapter for mine Chris
-
erm, no good link Chris
-
I have to say that a quich shift is one of the best mods you can do for the money. If you have the power you need a shorter shift, in a normal VR there's less need unless you drive enthusiastically but Jim don't slate them just cos you alone don't like them, plus it's something you want and like or just don't. I use NGK Platinums BKR5EKUP from memory Yeah just checked Plugs Chris
-
no, that'll be fine but not sure if there's a fuse that is inline for the spoiler? Chris
-
Well at least it's good news cos the VR isn't hard to sort out and keep happy, everything is pretty much straight forward, buy some new plugs and get a pm to H8RRA to see what the plans are and maybe call over to his on Saturday and i'll pop them in for ya and check leads, connections etc, should be fine. We'll be changing his injectors for higher flow ones then so the tools will be out anyway. Chris

dinkus' silver VR - I think I have a problem
Chris VR6nos replied to dinkus's topic in Members Gallery
Pretty funny, all the Silver lads have shouted up! The Silver club is as or even more of a tight closed club that the Storm boys! Chris -
carpoid, are you in Haywire land or OZ? Chris
-
Is anyone going to do this mod then or what? Applepies for the poor quality and level of typing above! Tired eyes and body, ready for bed. Chris

the DTA P8Pro is the only one I know of that you can run each cylinder with different spatk timing on each cylinder and similarly adjust the ingector cycle to each too, this feature was built in for the certain race engines that some bikes and the odd racing car runs. Cost is £850inc Vat IIRC and they can supply injectors and other fancy stuff too and there is a silly amout of features and most are easy to work with, the hard part is knowing your stuff if you are going to do it yourself. Any one can set it up but setting it up well is a different story. Chris
-
Sounds like a German swear word Never heard of them Chris
-
plenty of power woule be available with TB's but limited somewhat to the amount of air you can get into the engine. DTA Fast P8 Pro is one of the best ones to go for to run this setup as everything is adjustable, then you just need someone whom is familiar with it to set it up for the Corrado! Who could you find to do this? Vince at Stealth non the less! He's used them and likes them and is the man for VW's too so there's a good situation! Chris
