Bought a set of mk4 rears off eBay, but he sent one 38mm and one 41mm so I've asked for 2 38mm pistons. He's waiting for an Audi a3 to come in to then send me a new set. Taking a while tho! Once I've got them they'll need painting and then I can get down to getting it all fitted! Got new rotrex oil, intake pipes, filter etc all sat here waiting to go on!!

What were the fun and games then this time? Looking awesome and shiny mate. Dare I ask, I know it will never be 'finished' but is it fully back together? Dash, under trays etc. SPoke to John about trying to book this curry, also still waiting for these bloody mk4 rears before I get the rotrex fitted. Thinking we should have a southern rolling road day. ;)

Good work :) is the new charger ported at all inside or on the outlet? -
As said it sounds like they must have been having a bad day and just wanted to make themselves feel important and took it out on you. Honestly you pay your tax, mot etc and the cars in a good condition but they still find fault. I bet the scum that never have tax or insurance get taken to the station, then because they don't have a license they just go back out and reoffend. why don't then concentrate more of these idiots and realise you love your car and are taking care of it. Also I work in insurance and they have no right to tell you you're not covered! Its not their decision to make whether you would be covered or not, their opinion means F.A! I hate it when customers phone me at work, albeit in household claims to say "oh the police said I could claim for this etc" the police know nothing about insurance. Glad they finally came to their senses. They've probably been getting stick off the mrs at home and felt they needed to recoup their manhood ;)

Just finalising the last parts before I install my rotrex kit. Have a few questions tho as to the pipe work on the throttle inlet. I'm planning on blanking off the PVC hose with a breather filter but what happens with the plug that connects into it and the holes that will be left open? Also the charger set up has a metal hard pipe so what happens with the pipe marked by the arrow and the hole it will leave? Puzzles me why so many hoses need to be interlinked? But then again I'm no mechanic. Also I was told the re circ valve I have needs a vacuum hoses connecting to the top of. any ideas how this can actually be done. I sure my mechanic will bje ok with it all but I just wanted to be as clued up as I can be when I pop up with all the kit. And last q, I will need to have the maf extended so I can fit it in the wing, I presume some wire will just need to be soldered into place :) Thanks for the help

Well if you want it then mate, I'll keep it till then for you :) Depends what your looking for around town, could write an essay about the places to eat etc but if you want something directly on the seafront in Bournemouth there's Aruba which is ok for food, hot rocks by the aquarium and good old Harry ramsdens for fish and chips. Or there's a nice harvester down boscombe and nice restaurant there called Urban beach If you need any other info let me know :)

Hello mate, in all honesty I think it's more vinyl with the centre bits in leather. it's not like my momo that is leather all round, but to be honest that looks good but it keeps sticking to my hands and gets annoying where as this wheel was a real dream to use. Just fancied a change. If you're about let me know and you're more than welcome to pop over and take a look :)

if you sell with out the calipers id be interested in the mk4 rears on their own :) -
Collected my Rotrex kit the other day that was for sale on the VR6oc. The JR cone filter looks a little small for potentially 300bp? would i be able to use the BMC filter in its place and what are the BMC bhp limits? Also for anyone that has installed the rotrex kit before, mine has the 90 degree elbow from the charger inlet to the maf and it has 2 extra holes, one for the recirc valve entry point and another apparently to connect to the outlet on the rocker cover. This has been butchered a bit though and just taped up and the chap before just had an open filter on his rocker cover. ill post some pics when i can but was wandering what other setup people had for their intakes for the rotrex kit?

So took delivery the other day of some parts, one of them being my Rotrex charger :) I need to give it all a good clean and wait for some 312s before i get round to getting it fitted. Not sure if i can use my BMC aire filter or not, anony one know the BMC bhp rating?

No one want a nice steering wheel for their C, yet still retain some of the original feel and drive? Dont let my honesty put you off, the wheel is in good condition and will literally bolt striaght on with all earthing wires etc :) the screws and horn push are barely noticeable, im just honest and very picky with my items. £50

I've had mt roof done, would t attempt it myself tho, cost me £100 to have the roof wrapped and he did a great job making sure the weave on the roof and sunroof lined up perfectly

Cant believe ive missed this thread, just read through all the pages and as already said fantastic work, there are a lot of skilled individuals on this forum who can turn their hand to installing an engine or audio install but then getting a professional to finish other aspects, but you're in a league of your own doing the paint, re-trim, engine install and complete rebuild yourself! Congratulations on the wedding and hopefully will get to see it at some shows this year

Hello all, Purchased a rotrex and im fitting some 312s so thought it would make sense to do the rear caliper upgrade at the same time. Thought i would try you guys first for a good deal before i go trawling through ebay and pay someone else. What have you got? :) Thanks

Thanks, I have all the other parts and bought some longer bolts from eBay as recommended in the 312 thread :)
-
Would you need some sort of washer or fastener with these? Great find though, will definitely be purchasing a set :)

Craig replied to black dub's topic in Parts for Sale
Ok mate I'll take them then for £120 posted, already have some hoses and stainless steel washers etc as spacers sat under the bed, just no 312s :) ideally wanted a black set but I'll see what theyre like when on and probably just leave them. Might be interested though if your having some made up instead of washers? -
Bump :)

Am I right in thinking these would work with any of the vag 312 discs, they're all the same width/offset in 5x100 fit aren't they? If so would you take £120 posted and I can sort out a transfer :) Thanks
