What is the engine? The temp sender could be kaput, giving a false reading, but Need more info, have a gander in the search as many people worry about high oil temps and there is loads of good stuff in there.

Gotta say. I used claybar and then step 3 last year and was impressed. But last week I bought some deep gloss polish from Autoglym, ( the one with the black writing) and I was amazed how well she came up. Slapped a coat of stage 3 wax ontop and it is as close to perfect as its going to get this side of a respray.

Good full sets of leathers go for about 6-700 with door cards dont they? Reckon 400 might be a bit steep if is in tatty condition. bearing in mind that a retrim in fresh cow starts of at about 800.

Sounds like it needs a bit of tinkering to get a permanant feed into it. also the aerial thing is probably the mini amp in the base of the beesting being rusty and shot to bits. There is a load of quick and not so quick fixes if you clicky here. HTH

ZippyVR6.. got the same problem with my VR, what was you fix? More to the point how much? The pump is supposed to prime. It is supposed to make that noise. :D So dont worry about it. Start to worry if you dont hear it, then it is megabucks to sort out. Oh and Dexter. I can highly recomend getting an air filter if you need more noise. I have a K&N but there are loads around and people have discussed at length the merrits of one over another. But It doubles the volume as you pass 4k. 8)

Think Im right in saying that no tinkering is needed after fitting, but the car needs to run on idle for a few mins and then a bit of gentle driving to allow the mfa to reconfigure.

Tasty, she looks good. Reckon the the grind you mention could be the ABS pump pulsing at 7mph or 10 kph. Worried me till someone on here pointed it out. and the stepping out could be bushes as you mention, after all it is probably origional stuff at 75k and is 13 years old.

I also lost all my coolant a while ago. Check all the water pipes inc the ones under the engine / rad. fill her up with water and run on tickover till the temp comes up enough to open the thermostat. once the water is wooshing around you should be able to trace the leak visually. But keep an eye on the temp. and kill it if the temp goes up to much. ie above 100 deg for the water. Also, Not sure what you had done over the weekend but there might be an airlock somewhere which has cleared sucking the excess out of the expansion tank and into the system. HTH
