  1. K, Found the socket to plug the fob into and it seems to reset the alarm but still have the same troubs.
  2. Shouldn't be a problem to pressure wash the bay???? ive done it, Cover the electrics in plastic bags while the cleaner is soaking into the muck, then go for it.
  3. Thread revival time. I have just started my brothers golf to charge the battery up, put some wind in the tyres and give her a pre sale wash, but the imobiliser keeps triggering and sounding the alarm, She hasn;t been touched for 2-3 weeks so Am guessing it may be flat battery but Im not sure, as per the post is a conlog alarm. anyone???
  4. Mostly the new Drum and Bass arena with a bit of Krafty Kuts thrown in.
  5. Nasty, Still again testament to the strength of a 12 year old car. Hope all are ok, are you gonna be able to salvage anything for your next VR??
  6. Well my bro's mk3 goof gti tops out at about 125, and takes an age to get there. so when I look over my shoulder and there is this slammed red monster roaring up the M3, I nearly spilled my coffee :D Damn right she is quick.
  7. Woah, Bogey Green, They look excelent, How long did you have to wait for those to be made up?

    faux leather?

sticky in the heat and easier to tear, especially on bolsters that might be worn already. But Im sure it would look good for a good few years.
  9. Cheers Stan but I bought a set of LEDs from Ebay but dont like the uneven glow. reckon Ill try the filter route.
  10. what about the ones for behind the MFA and clocks? the Stubby LEDs what is their official name as I dont want to look a wally in Maplins. The staff there have a tendancy to be a bit geeky.
  11. Christ, That is 900 nicker in insurance. That deserves some sort of medal for comitment.
  12. Bad luck mate. Feel for ya. So by your reckoning would you have revieved a lighter punishment if your letter said you would loose your job?
  13. That's a tough one, I think it would depend on who was selling and who was buying it. After all it is only worth more than a standard VR if someone is willing to pay that much. true, Shame really. but if it was a high miler, someone might be in for a bargian piece of history.
  14. Had a looky at the search, and it seems no-one has come up with a realistic price for one. What would they go for?
  15. Mildly fettled, but just re-read the post and realised we were talkin BHP figs.
  16. If you believe hearsay, Although I was most surprised to see Scarlets new Valver keep allongside GradeA and my VRs at full chat at about ton thirty.
  17. If the breather valve was open it will turn from inflamable to drinkable over time (dont drink it) but I would be surprised if 25 quids worth evaporated. unless east sussex had a bit of a saraha style christmas, Reckon there might be a leak chap.

    Stealthy, Nice one.
  19. standard Rado manual should point out engine bay and dash buttons and stuff. There is no Haynes manual but there is a cd based american programme called Bentley IIRC. they go for a fortne on the Bay.
  20. "set as background" (if only they made Vr's in 1989)
  21. Depends on which temp you are talkin about. water or oil??? if it is oil, 90 - 95 is nowt, Seriously mate not a problem, the VR gets up to temp in about 5 -7 mins and gets up to 112 degrees without breakin to many laws. Ive seen 126 after a serious hour long race(with a Jag XK8) through hampshire. if you are worried bout protection, oil only starts to get less slippy (protective) after 120 degrees if it is water then 90 is not a problem. that is what radiators are for. again mine surfs about 100 to 110 when gunning it. If you are seriously still concerned, have a look at the search or get yourself a Mocal Oil Cooler. I believe Gworks can sort you out at a reasonable price.
  22. Top Shots Sam, whats with the suprise mod??? Reckon Sam6 should be in with a chance of the Forum calendar, even if it is a mini shot.
  23. There are a few more of those over here. Sounds like its gonna get pricey quickly 16v. Not wantin to take work away from a garage but is there anyone you know or a local knowlegable Rado owner who might be able to give a hand with the work once it has been diagnosed?
