lol! cheers mate!!! the several glasses of wine I have consumed are obviously putting me in a good mood!!! My issue with women drivers is that girls like me - and the other rado owning chicks on here - get tarred with the same brush - we're not all useless, honest! I can parallel park (I have proof!) I can do an oil change/service, I know what an engine does, what bit is what and what it does and have no prob changing bits over /doing basic maintenance. Thats more than some of my male male can do ffs!!!! I have a wheel obsession too and can quite happily search ebay.de for hours looking for the right stud pattern and offset to find something 'different'.... My girlie friends have always loved my rado's and have been surprised at how lovely it is to drive - one even bought one after driving mine... Women drivers - on the whole - are useless. However there are 3 Rado's I have seen recently that have been driven by young women drivers like me - so give some of us a chance - you might just be surprised!!! :)

I hate stereotypical women drivers!!! They give girls like me a bad name.... None of my female mates - except Nikki and Jo (who are both registered on here and have Rados) - understand my obsession and it drives me mad! lol! However I hate it even more when guys dont take me seriously, not all women know nothing, I was spoken to very condesendingly by a bloke who's Shogun I was looking at tonight and could quite happily have slapped him...! :) Men make cars intimidating to women, most girls know 'something' however they don't want to ask questions/say what they think for fear of being shot down... Its not easy being a girl in the car scene - hence why some of us get rather deffensive about our cars or comments that are made.... Anyway - yes, most women drivers suck, but not all of us!!!! :)

ET25... ET27 might hit the coillies. it depends on your suspension.... good luck!!!
-
best idea is find out for definate the ET of the wheel - then work out how much you need to take of them to get to ET25 and see if you can get adaptors to fit... if you know what I mean.... if they are ET52 then 25mm adaptors may make them rub the coillies so you might need to adjust them slightly with spacers... find out the correct ET for them and take it from there!!! if your running 8's at the front you want to take them to about ET35, so again, find out the actual ET and take it from there....
-
I think they are ET52 - which would mean with 25mm adaptors you will take the ET to ET27... which may still be a bit close and you may need 2mm spacers, or if you use 30mm adaptors you may find they will stick out too far. M15 VW has ET25 Borbets on the rear of her C and they rub a bit (she has a 100mm drop), however they fit over her coillies and brakes and dont stick out too much... 9's arent the easiest thing in the world to fit onto a VR, seems to be easier to put 'em on valvers/G60's.... if you do go ahead with it aim for ET25...

hmmmm..... always thought you were a bit of a w4nker but that just proves it.... yes there are people out there who may milk it, but for everyone of them there are those who are genuine - I had 2 disabled brothers and being the only driver in the family I had to take them places, 9 times out of 10 we struggled to get a disabled space and they were forced to have to walk - when one of them died last year we gave up the disabled badge cos it was as good as pointless... at supermarkets I drop them at the door and drive over when finished unless its 2am and its completely empty, and even then I would only do it if my brother was with me... people like you deserve to have your car dinged and smacked about in the carpark, i'll do it myself if I ever see it - tosser.....

The rears might just squeeze under but you'd have to trim back the return lips. Fronts will be close as well, seeing as you have the early body (I'm assuming). A lot of it would depend on what tyres you're planning to put on them as a decent stretch will give you extra clearance. Spacers won't really help as they'll push them out further! Buy them, then flog 'em on E38 if they don't fit... :)

Trying my best :) She's been well behaved so far :D had no doubts she would be...! Do miss the big lump of metal as she was everything I wanted from a Rado, however the horse I bought is a superstar so its worth it.... I have kept my red and black seats - just incase another one comes along!! -

Thanks everyone - I still have the keys for the VR so I am assuming Dave is ok about it all!!! It must have looked hilarious to anyone passing, she was very, very posh in a very, very nice Saab, well dressed, nice jewelery, getting a ballocking from me, a very angry Glaswegian dressed in filthy riding clothes driving an old dirty car... lol! Bet she didnt understand most of what I said.... Yer right Gav, its the curse of the black pudding... :) -

I hate women drivers... you'll get no grief off me if you rant about them.... especially fat, middle aged, driving-their-husbands-company-car-that-they-dont-even-know-the-make-of women drivers - they drive me nuts.... I am fine - more angry than anything else - I think she figured that out though by the names I called her... oops.... The Vr will be fine - and Dave was ok about it, thankfully...... :) -
evening all... thought I would share yet more of the bad luck i seem to be having... The Audi is off the road cos its broke - the exhaust and CAT are corroded and I cant get a replacement unless I go brand new which is just tooooooo expensive as I am officially unempolyed at the mo.... anyway... Been driving Daves VR as its better on fuel that Audi which, with dodgy exhaust, is giving me 10mpg average. Loving being in a Corrado again, especially a VR! Was out and about today and heading to a place just round the corner to drop some stuff off - so I slowed down before the road I had to turn into, was clearly indicating, had to slow right down as the road was narrow with cars either side and I couldnt see if it was clear, started to turn and then I heard screetching brakes, looked in my mirror and a Saab saloon was heading sideways into the back of the VR... it hit, threw me forward a few feet. The Vr stopped, I got out, by this point I was utterly raging, the woman got out the Saab and the first thing she said was, 'what happend? did you stall the car?' I proceeded to tell her that infact I had been turning (indicators on the VR were still flashing) and infact she was a stupid f*****g blind cow... I must have ranted for a good 5 min, by this point she was looking a bit scared..... anyway, I finally got her to give me her details - she wasnt going to as her car wasnt damaged - and we drove off.... On close inspection the VR's bumper has absorbed the impact, its now out of alignment with the rear arch on one side which it wasnt before and there are a few scratches etc on the paint.... so yeah - phoning Dave to tell him what had happened was, ummm.... interesting..... could have been worse though - damage is easily fixable - although it will be at the stupid cows expense.... ugh... never been hit in a car before...... :(

Quickest car you've been in, owned and most interesting....

fastest i have driven was my mates supercharged 350z. estimated 450bhp, it was just silly...! tried switching the traction control off to have a bit of fun and the damn thing kept coming back on and ruining it... stupidly quick but not an everyday car... drove a 911 carrera 3 once too, not as quick as the Nissan but deffo something you could drive everyday - sheer class! fastest i have been in, other than the 350z, was a sierra cossie when i was ickle. it was what started my obsession with cars... it probably wasnt anything special by todays standards but as a kid i loved the whooooosh and the feeling of being thrown back in my seat when the driver put his foot down. its long gone now :( but on discussing it with my uncle - whos friend owned it - apparently it was brand spanking new and modified - round about the 300bhp mark... fastest i have owned was my last rado - 2ltr 16v with KRcam mod - nothing spectacular but loads of fun... -
Dave's C had water coming into the footwell due to the seal around the cabin air intake (under the plastic scuttle panel trim in the engine bay) being perished - only a few quid (or bucks!) from the stealers, and only a 10min job... :)

evening all... am beginning to enjoy this big V6 saloon malarky - even if it is in a battered old Audi 80 - so am thinking of changing my hunt for a decent pajero/shogun to a hunt for a A4 estate with the 2.8 V6 and quattro... I need something I can tow a horsebox with but I am really not keen on loosing any performance and dropping to big lumbering 2.5tdi 4x4. been looking for car alternatives to try and get the best of both worlds, decent driving car but with a bit of pulling power, saw a nice A4 estate today - albeit a bit out of price range - and it got me thinking, an amazing feat in its own right!!! anyone had one and had to tow caravan etc with it? anyone had/driven one - what they like? I really am just desperate to get a rado again, need something that can fill the gap until I can afford to run two cars or do a tdi 4 wheel drive conversion to a rado.... :) (in my dreams.... ) cheers....
