I think my girlfriend is considering a Micra for her next car. We need to put this in to some kind of context I think.. my girlfriend doesn't like to drive fast, she doesn't really care what she drives as long as its small and doesn't cost lots to fuel/insure and she doesn't want something that breaks a lot - so something quite new preferably. So her current Ford Ka is ideal really. Obviously I wish my girlfriend was into cars in the same way that I was.. and she has nothing but enthusiasm for my interest in cars (she's pleased i'm getting another Rado!) but she's not an enthusiat at all and I would imagine that she represents the vast majority of female motorists (and I would guess a fairly large amount of male motorists) - that weird breed who consider a car to be a tool and nothing more! So Micra's, Ka's.. yeah so what.. they are little boring cars but they're designed for a particular role and they do it well. I'm not saying they don't.... but he asked for opinions so he got one.... I just couldnt do it... I had a corsa once - my then boyfs choice - and I hated it, he went, swiftly followed by the car and I never looked back!!! :D

where did the C come from mate...? It looks familiar to me... and unfortunately not in a good way... :( oh, welcome by the way!!!

^^^^^^ the man speaketh the truth... ;)
-
shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....!!!! it's a secret......!!! :)
-
hee hee hee... can't wait til these arrive (please god let them fit..... ) don't think these have ever been done on a rado before.... :)
-
if she really wants one then cool, let her go for it and she'll give you peace.... but i'd agree with Walsey, let her drive the rado, she prob thinks it's a blokes car and will be pleasantly surprised to find that its not when she drives it!!! then you wouldnt need to admit your GF drives something based on a Micra *shudder*... I mean, come on, a bl**dy Micra....  for once I agree with PhatVR6, things like this are nothing more than an accessory which is probably fine for her but, personally, I would rather have to walk!!! :)
-
ok.. mine aint a VR but she has passed 164,000 miles and runs as sweet as a nut...! miles shouldnt be an issue if its well looked after!
-
cheers Phil... am sure we'll get it sorted out... we have 4 dubs between us....... and 3 of them now have no MOT and need work to pass it.... happy happy joy joy..... now I remember why I swore I wouldnt buy older cars.... pfft.... :(
-
thanks Baz...!! :) and yes, not what I needed.... I hate my birthday, something always goes wrong with my car.... and I always hurt myself somehow too..... :(
-
niiiiiiiiiiice.... you can always trust a dub to fail its MOT properly! the audi I just bought managed to fail today on an equally grand scale... new front discs and pads, new front tyres, new wishbones, new cv boot, rear wheel bearings.......... at least the intermittant reverse light decided to work... looks like it will cost more to fix than it did to buy.... :( such a pity cos its a really lovely car..........
-
 guess we're a good bit closer than you are!! am taking my audi up there tonight for a check up and an mot...
-
you knew you would regret selling her!!! awesome car you had mate, you'll struggle to find another like it......
-
niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.... if she is as mint as she looks I personally wouldnt take anyless than 4500... 5000 if your willingto hang on.....
