Have you got the adapter tray fitted to use panel filters? If not, it's been obsolete for yonks. .

OK given the problem seems to arise quite often, spent some time today..... Here's the electrical schemeatic diagram. Ignore the colour of wires links shown for the wires and use the written colour beside each one as per the key. (It ain't perfect on pin idents but I think I've got it covered for most but pipe up if it doesn't align with your Corrado. Pre 1993 is not covered but is similar. T1z connector does not exist on some post 1992 Corrados. What else needs speed pulses  ) The speed pulse signal comes from G22 and is fed in via the instruments then distributed by TV13. climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfCorrado Spoiler Circuit 1993 - 1995.jpg[/attachment:1qwq9l19] This the fuse box front showing the TV13 junction (splitter) and on mine a spare T1z connection (blue connector loose). 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfDSCN2005a.jpg[/attachment:1qwq9l19] These are all the speed pulse wires gathering into the back of TV13 (light blue connections - 4 off, one connector carries two wires.) You are not the first this year though! .

1) Have you got the Corrado on the level when doing it. 2) Have you opened the 3 bleed nipples not on the calipers a) Brake master cylinder b) two on ABS unit. Corrado on the level and these will self-bleed under gravity so no need to pump the pedal. Be careful pumping the pedal, too frequent and to long a stroke, can cause heat and the seals in the master cylinder pop given their age. Always best to push/pull the fluid out with a bleeder on an older car/part. .

A few things to check .

The friend (Harry) traded it in. Got fed up with the Corrado, mainly due to back ache. It was traded in thro' a Suzuki garage for a Swift. So it must have been picked up at an auction. Nothing wrong with it other than what you see as you view it. I remember the Solitudes being added about 11 years ago. The guy was not one for changing it so it will be pretty much standard. .

Light primer brightens the colour, black/dark dulls the colour. Not doin' the door Judith??? .

Have you done the compression test??? .

Ah so you didn't get everything photo'd then  This explains it....link Bag & stow. :D .

Hmmm... I noticed but my edit etc buttons disappeared as they seem to do recently since changes on here and I view it all in B&W ! This should work viewtopic.php?f=1&t=25779&p=287905&hilit=start%2Fnext#p287905 .

00533? Do an output test on the ISV and exercise it. You will have to go thro' the 6 injectors first, then leave the ISV clicking away for 2 minutes. Gives it more of a whack than the ECU can during normal running. Output test explained here . ETA: link repaired.

Here you go.......... passat climatronic wiring diags.pdfDSCN8054a.jpg[/attachment:3239kkwl] climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfDSCN8057a.jpg[/attachment:3239kkwl] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfDSCN8058a.jpg[/attachment:3239kkwl] DSCN8059a.jpg[/attachment:3239kkwl] . -
Here you go Dave..... DSCN8053a.jpg[/attachment:rlr6r7nm] Don't have a bridging wire???????? The yellow wire is the reference voltage input for the Lambda probe. So not surprised at the VCDS DTC code and low rpm running. The other connector is the engine ECU upto the knock sensor on the driver's side of the back of the engine block. .

Wouldn't be concerned about the petrol unless its over 3 months -ish in which case add some petrol additive like VW's G-001-700-03 or Fuel Stabiliser Petrol Additive off Ebay. Sylvercryn Hair Spray (Firm Hold)(In bright green metallic tin) to seal the bright disc surfaces while clean, one small handbag tin costing £1 is enough for all 8 surfaces. (On driving again, this just disappears and the brakes are instant). Move the car to get some on the blind spots behind the pads. Best to take the wheels off. If wheels on, put a few thicknesses of newspaper to catch the drips off the bottom of the discs. On driving again, the brakes are like the day the C. was put away. Been doing it for the 15 years. Still on the orignal brakes & pads with no side effects. Over inflating tyres.... watch the upper limit of inflation of tyres (marked on th eside wall). I had one pop its structure out by just going from 36psi on the front to 42 psi. Don't do it now. Never seem to get flats, even after 6 - 7 months (and no longer roll the car. Just make sure they are inflated to the correct pressure a couple of week before and a few days before leaving the C. re-check in case of a slow puncture/leak. I also cover up the wheels with large bin liners to reduce the amount of circulating air and therefore moisture. As it's winter, check the strengths of the engine coolant and windscreen wash will with stand -20'C. Best internal drying agent I've found is those white chips flakes. Put then in a the big holder 0.5Kg and the holder in a bowl or bucket. They really suck in them moisture. Last about 4 months. .

I was quoted £239.83 + VAT last week at the dealers. .

Funny enough I did this yesterday as part of the service record VCDS log file. Cold start.... Corrado VR6 Warm-up 141110.jpg[/attachment:2nkogxxc] .

Fit some quartz 20watt/12v sidelight lamps and disconnect the dim-dip behind the nearside headlight unit. Much brighter white light. .

Also, Harry wouldn't be a forum member.... Ebay description reads staight as I know it. So no wool there. .

Yes, know the car and previous owner. Looked after. Northwest Corrado. Its not had a hard life. Good buy. But check it out by viewing. Solitudes were not an option at the time of the original purchase. .

Most likely cause is broken piston rings given the cylinder its from. Affects front left (No.6) and rear right (No.1) as fla says. Common problem with the VR6. Both cylinders go oval if the engine is allowed to run hotter. A comparitive compression check across all six cylinders should confirm whether they have broken or not. I keep the coolant mix at 40% additive/60% water and the engine oil temperature runs at 98'C knocking about upto 50mph and 104'C at 70mph for an outside air temp upto 21'C. The coolant temperatures are similar. Three open slat grille rather than two helps as does Slick 50. Run with 15w40 (Castrol Magnatec) oil and standard original NGK plugs. .

Yup, plastic spark plug tool. .

Start finding the best repairer you can and get a quote then...... .

Exactly Yan, which why I posted on page 2. .

If there is no fault codes in the 01 - Engine fault code screen, then next is to look at the groups of Measuring Blocks. Ignore groups 000 & 006. Look at the groups 001 thro' 005 and see if anything differs drastically from this warmed-up engine operating normally. download/file.php?id=24708&mode=view .
