Ha ha like you said money money money. I know he has the electronic boost control so high and low boost, if its anything like mine its mental on high really aggressive how the power comes on to 1.5 bar, and on low its really progressive as though its still supercharged to 0.7 bar, which makes it really nice to drive in bad weather/wet roads but seem slow. So with different boost settings its like having 2 maps and the 4 wheel drive wll certainly help.

He planned the 2L before i think it went and the shoot was prob before it did but not sure.

Yep unfortunately. He did his 4 wheel burnout at the pod, sat on the line waiting but there was a problem somewhere else so got pulled back to wait, then did another 4 wheel burnout, during this short time the engine got a little too hot, off he went up the strip, half way thats when it went pop and he still posted a 12sec pass :lol: 8) :lol: If the plans with the new engine work then sure he could crack into the 9's with the full interior.

This is Mark's car who is a mate of James at Jabba. Its on Haldex, 20VT with a Garrett GT30,GT35 hybrid plus loads and loads more to get the power and a cheeky 50bhp of NOS. Blew the engine at santa pod and was rebuilding to 2L last time i spoke to him. Edit: He also did all the work himself and i dont think he is on here.

Yep i have. The only option i have seen to get a shorter throw and longer stick is the Motorsport towers which were £500 and dont look standard in the car obviously but ur into tracking the car so could be a good look, think u can get VWmotorsport 1's, all smiles were doing them but the cost to do them was a lot so stopped doing them and sure i have seen them somewhere else, think gwerkes. Good stuff then :D Well im on 17x7.5 compomotives which are lighter wheels, standard diff and dont get hardly any torque steer, i just dont the look on the back with the wheels but its made to be driven fast so like you i dont want stupidly wide wheels.

That u most certainly will do. If it were my wheels and car i would not put 7.5 on the front and 9 on the back, just really dont like that look, keep it phat yes but find some wheels that will clear the brakes, may be hard work to find the style and size you like but will be more than worth it when u finally get some. That things gonna fly, what kind of figures are expected out of the VR6+rotrex?

Gutted for ya but could have been worse. I too spun mine before cahsing an evo on a roundabout in the wet, he had 4 wheel drive and i didnt lol, anyway spun on the roundabout 180 degrees and stopped without hitting anything, sorted the direction out looked in my rear mirror and saw 207 headlights, instantly thought crap, knew it was a 50 car, sure enough got pulled they saw the whole thing, by chance they got an emergency call and just said slow down and off they went. Pooped mysely and relieved at the same time.

Like i said if you like the dump valve noise then get rid of the boost return, comes off the botom of the throttle body and goes into the right of the charger on top. Remove that pipe and blank off the charger, bit more involved but not more than an hours worth i should imagine, i never done this so dont know the ins and outs but some 1 will be along to explain better soon enough.

Is it def a dump valve and not the boost return removed as this will give a dump valve like sound if so? If its a dump valve yes remove it as it can shock the charger iv heard.

Im not the only sad 1 then :lol: currently up to 5 years Golf+ and PVW.Dont know if you read any older 1's recently but i still find them a better read years on compared to the shite they are now.

Apart from the very top pic all the rest were taken at the Golf+ photoshoot, the top 2 moving shots i was going a full half a mile an hour :lol: so anymore pics i get up will not be of the same quality. Just been looking at them and a few things have changed nothing too major though. so will update when i can find my damn cam lead to PC.

From what iv heard the 1900 will rev more freely than the 2L and will be alot cheaper to do as well.

Apologies matey :D just read back my post and i came across little strong. Agree though we all must be ready 110% of the time to save the embarrasment at been beaten by the french :D I got nailed by a corsa b whilst my car is in this spec so im not all i can beat everything. It was a 2L turbo stripped out and 340bhp, on a dual carriage way rolling bout 40mph he just fcuked off, oh the shame, least he was not a spotty chav he's a good lad.

I always say how fast you wanna go is how much money you got, now you can get the same power as me for less than what it cost me with a different engine but as soon as you start to want the big numbers then even when you do the work yourself its still gonna cost you, so so many unexpected and things you not thought about or not costed for.

Very clean. woz you at poddington on the 7th of this month ? Saw a similar setup there in a car the same color. Well yes it was clean then been fully rebuilt 2 months before hand but it was 2 years ago and not quite so clean, i not kept on top of it. No was not me maybe monkey on here same colour and spec now.
