1.8t agu boost issues new info added, still not sorted :(
junkie replied to corrado_sunderland's topic in Engine Bay
N75 valve faulty possibly and not controlling the boost, or wastegate stuck open. Or is the n75 plumbed up correctly. It's the 3 port boost solenoid. -
The QPE kit is a separate ECU already mapped and is geared towards making the conversion as simple as possible and still using vw sensors etc I think. The donor car route or full engine and loom and ECU may be a better way to do it of your looking for factory look to the install. You would need to defeat the ECU immobiliser if you not fitting the full clocks and ignition and key for full factory operation then you obviously want to factor on getting that mapped as well as you sound like that's the way your going.

And in not too many years there will be a forum somewhere with a video of "performance" corrodes getting the Mick took out of them too.
-
Presumably an original VR and not a converted valver etc. PM some details please.
-
Quite close to my vision of what I want so a resounding yes I would love to.
-
Do any VR's come in pearlescent green?
-
I have only ever took 1 car to be serviced at the main stealers and that was the TT, it only went there as my sister was buying the car and wanted the sacred stamp in the book. It cost £199 for the 60k service and in all honesty the car really did come back driving so much better, it's not longlife though. So yes alot are really bad servicing but not all.

I can't think of anything in the later style interiors I like if I'm honest, the seats look out of place and boring with the choice in trim material, too much curvedness in the dash controls compared to a pretty square car.
-
Yep totally agree. The early interior is so much nicer and fits the whole 90's much better yet the later styling is better looking car.
-
Cool but did that mean the later bodywork as well?
-
When did the 1st VR's come out? What was the spec on them? I'm looking for a VR that has the late style body work but has the early interior, not sure if one exists or not?
-
I need vr subframe, steering rack, steering knuckle, brakes of awesome quality, driveshafts, gearbox, suspension, wheels, engine, turbo, exhaust, management, loom, seats, I did keep my steering wheel so I'm sorted there.
-
I know lol seriously thinking VRT time. Any spare bits you need rid of.
-
Still finding all this a little too basic still keV maybe a little more indepth for us please. Sent from my iPhone 3GS
-
Ignore the grumpy git mate he must be on a bad day. I'm sure he will realise it and apologise lol. But there still is some truth in what he says but until you know how the search works for the best results it is pretty useless. Maybe there should be a guide put up by a mod that's in the global bit so it appears at the top of everything maybe.
-
What I'm interested in is when is that boost gauge going to be happy and see 2.5bar???
-
Those new wheels have really had an effect on you I see. All of a sudden new rims and you just wanted another excuse to whore some pics about lol. Awesome car remember seeing it at inters 2005, were you with audioscape then.

Been offered a low comp forged and rebuilt engine, should I
junkie replied to ASHLEY G's topic in Engine Bay
If you have been after an engine and know it's a good in then it sounds like a no brained so long as you do charge it otherwise it will be pants. -
If you need it doing in a wind then look at qpeng (QPE - Quantum performance engineering) for their ecu and loom and a full guide on how to convert easily in a wknd. Sounds like this is the best option engine wise as you say getting an engine is like £500+ well of you converted your 16v to turbo then you will not have much change left from a good few ££££k

Still deciding andy. I'm trying to get a good deal on the bra he has but he is insisting that he wants to keep it for sentimental values.

Have I found my perfect 2nd car? Subaru content...
junkie replied to Leonard's topic in General Car Chat
I think I saw it on Subaru.net. Richard burns old car like your pic, Subaru imported it for him for his daily car and was going fairly cheaply as I remember, some special import only touches on it but can't remember what. Go hunting for it. -
Lol stupid iPhone auto correcting for me. You will notice a tighter rear end and that's always a good thing. Cue more poor jokes.
-
Somebody on here did a vr intake but I can't recall who. I'm sure I read it in a for sale advert and may have been billcor. Try him.

Duuuude What's mine say
