Custom cages do a corrado one but it's a weld in hobby at roughly 1500 fitted or 500-600 kit form fit your self.
-
Very :camp: Loving the car mate hope your limp biscuit gets better soon.

You can help do mine mate it was modded To high heaven and now it's a shell so it may keep you busy for a small wee while let me know when your free. Cheers

After having my car on the rollers to sort an ignition issue out it was deemed the plugs leads were upto the job. The coil was replaced with a wasted spark set up and that cured it but this is on aftermarket management and 300bhp engine. As supercharged said stick with the original. Only benefit is looks with the leads. In total the tuner tried loads of different combos of leads plugs and coils and they were all almost identical performance wise.

Leepu would be proud of fabricating that.

I remember when max power was actually good and cool to read and the Opel manta was king of the road.
-
Where you keeping the trailer for it or are you sorting that out once it's back together and keeping it on there, also is your daily upto pulling it round to the shows etc.
-
Nissan Cube is much better.

Have a look on the vortex as the yanks are big on building the big power VRT's and it's pretty much second nature to them. Also it's only as good as the mapping so long as you build it strong and the map is good and you keep a food eye on afr's, etc then it will be good.

Nice 1 jolene nearly there now. Might have to catch up wi ya at elsecar.
-
Ruined it now James. You should have kept it ghetto lol. Your going to be spending far too much time polishing it and not enough abusing the old girl like she is made for.
-
I'm not glad I didn't have the money to buy it.
-
I can't help with exact specs but your looking at making it bomb proof so new rods pistons bolts big valve head crank should be ok lots of balancing then size the turbo to the power you want to achieve. It will be laggy and may not boost till over 4k-5k then it's brakes suspension etc and a clutch then get ready to keep killing the box and driveshafts lol. Won't have any change from 15k as I am scratching the surface with that lot.

WTF shell i do? another corrado or NOT? HELP PLESSSSSSSSS
junkie replied to nmahi's topic in General Car Chat
Dont do it mate just get a golf or fiat or peugoet or something much more reliable and you can stick your 2 fingers up at all the broken down corrados at the side of the road. BE SENSIBLE -
I'm not been funny here as in an ass but funny cracking a joke. Stealth corrado forum Rolling road days are going to be boring now lol as everybody will have a stage 1 kit and 360 bhp haha. So many high powered cars should be fun on the rollers it's what we all look forward to seeing
-
No worries I know I'm crap at posting most of the time. Good ramble and yea I know only too well getting a reliable turbo corrado is like haha. Nothing wrong with brand names infact quite the opposite. Looking forward to the new tweaks. It's all yours vince sorry for spamming the thread a little. Oh and kev I thought it was the marlboro that were keeping you sane.
-
And your point is? You have spent a frigging fortune on yours mate which is fine by the way, it does exactly what you want it to do with added benefits that the stealth kit won't do but people can get alot of performance for the money they are asking. So that's my point really it's a bloody good kit. I was saying sorry kev incase you took offense as it was light hearted. Like I said nice graph, so out of curiosity anyway what do you think yours is doing now as you have changed alot in the last 18 months since that run was done and any ideas when you will be rolling it again, never see too many updates from ya nowadays.
-
Nice and nice. KeV performance for a fraction of the cost. Sorry kev.

I def want AWD still so we were initially looking at cough Subaru imprezas. Don't really mind the running costs I just like it nice inside, I know it won't have the balls out riding a rollercoaster ride of the corrado but I'm not buying it for that, it would be a long term plan to turn it into what I want not what vw intended, so it will do family duties 1st and foremost then will eventually be a toy. The initial family period will be sorting out the handling etc all on prep for the turbo conversion. If honest my love affair has gone with the corrado but I think that's cos I have not drove one since April 2009 and I will always remember how mine was and will just be disappointed with another if I ever get another.

Holts screenwash for the win as it has methanol in it, don't use any for water injection that contain ethanol though or so I have been told.

I just can't bring myself to turn into a proper family car driver with a 5 door lol I'm 30 in July. That's 1 reason I'm thinking R32 as you say they are good out of the box with the higher head height and my mrs although she liked my corrado she never ever wants 1. Having spoke to my neighbours who had a 5 door new astra then got a 3 door as they said the 5 door looked like a granny car and now have a hyundai 4 x 4 thing they said it was actually easier with the 3 door for whatever reason. The plan is once the kid is older and were debt free she can have any car she wants and I get to keep the 32 and turn it into my toy, which inevitably means going turbo woohoo. Long way off mind but the seed has been planted. I will look for the mag as well. Seen one on pistonheads for 8600 but with 78k on the clock hence why I ask about chains. Still a vr newbie.
-
Already had a quick look on there but never heard of checking with vagcom. Good to know that. What I have found is people saying I need to sell as were expecting our 1st child lol, so really looking for advice from somebody who has had 1 with a child prefably.
-
This will also apply to a standard 3 door. Anybody know about R32's, what to look out for, when should the chains be done. Main thing is I'm expecting my 1st child on august is it a practical enough car for a child, not really wanting a 5 door so I don't mind struggling a little with the car seat and hoping isofix solves that a little but how about the boot space, are they big enough. All help and advice appreciated.

How about plotting kevs with the GT35 against yours too. That should be interesting.

Well you knew I was going to post so buy mine lol
