  1. If you change then keep me in mind for the 20v  Sounds like you have finally hit a crossroad like me.
  2. Luckily the fun and games continue well into Corrado ownership as well, just when its all fixed something else goes and throws a spanner into the modifying works.
  3. Can i hear a hint of the new engine plans there??? As i'm still seeing the ???'s in your sig 8)
  4. Yep prices rocket (no pun intended) this time of year, every1 wants 1 on the run up to christmas or their teenage kids to "have some fun with"
  5. Looks well that colour with the comps. Whats the plans after a overhaul.
  6. Slightly biased opinion there 8) looks like i wont be needing much then either. Still can take mine further just do not know which road to take, it just changes weekly, its all coming down to cost, to take mine to the absolute limit or stick a 20vt in its going to cost roughly the same to get the same sort of power, but the potential is there for more on the 20vt, thinking long term buy a 20v build it up over however long in the garage to the spec i want, by the time its done mine will prob be dead :) anyway and there you go nice new engine waiting for me. Absolutely love my engine as it is, i just did not count on wanting more power when i originally set out, i'm sure its enough for most people though. Not chasing the pub talk numbers either, just for me personally its not quick enough now, the chassis can still handle so much more.

    Wheel Sizes

Anything is possible but 18's look too big for the lines of the car.
  8. Nah not bored at all and i don't think i ever will be, too many ideas to try out 1st 8) Not too sure on the power front as i want more power but i really don't want to go down the 20vt route as thats the same old as everybody does,(sorry Ben  ) but its looking like a strong possibility in the future, going to try the diff and longer ratios in the box ie: CTN or ASD box see how that is 1st. biggerbigben - how you find the diesal final drive now you have got used to it?
  9. The boost control works very very well, so much better than the greddy profec b spec i used before, im not using the trim yet not sure what i want to do with it yet. Yep need more power but it was more of a money thing to possibly sell.
  10. Also for the people that don't know, the engine is not like the VAG 20v 5 valves per cylinder, its a 5 cylinder 20v so effectively a 16v but with the extra cylinder. Up my way there used to be a Punto with this engine installed, you could pour a bag of rice over the engine and not 1 grain would get through it was that tight.
  11. Just taxed mine only for 6 month £99  12 month £180, how's that work then, it's getting worse. Good job you removed the Bra as that would have failed in the test guys eyes as been just plain hideous
  12. Not the kind of start you need for the members gallery is it, its usually happy, this is my c and im going to do this this and this.
  13. As Compomotive whels are motorsport wheels they are designed to clear brakes, mine although 17"'s clear with the standard offset. Apparently they have now designed a 15" that clears the brembo's and im sure they were MO's.
  14. From what i have heard they are a pig to fit. It is best to upgrade the cooler but that does not mean you need 1 the instant you get the stage 4 chip and pulley, just means you will not see the best gains from the work done. If you can get a Rallye or Golf G60 FMIC but theyre not cheap, i think Gwerkes are doing a replica all alloy Golf G60 cooler and you can gat the Jabbasport/Pro Alloy as well.
  15. after seeing Jabbas own IHI G60 round Mallory Park I was massively impressed, granted the weather was awful and they had the right tyres on, but the thing was slaughtering anything 1.8T and R32's and they were only running on low boost. They don't actually run the VF22, it's either the VF23 or VF30 last i heard, to spool a litttle sooner, still does 300bhp though. They run my old boost controller Greddy profec spec 2 and on low boost when it was in my car made it really progressive but still made 300bhp at the top end.
  16. Yep its the biggest VF turbo there is and i think they get around the 400bhp mark. Can you explain further?
  17. In 3 years i will officially be an old gimmer too then going crackers, the future's bright...... It's a IHI VF22 I know you can tune the characteristics of the engine with the length of the intake, but surely it does not make that much difference does it? Not really looked into it that much tbh.
  18. If you were talking to me about these i would say get the uprated powerflex 1's, it is only slightly more crashy tbh
  19. Looking well sweet now, used to see this out and about up my way and always thought it looked nice, now its going to go how it looks as well. For the record i did not know or meet the guy who sold it.
  20. That extra half inch always makes the difference  Although not the cheapest they do give a good solid proper base without going to the custom build route for the speakers to play better, they're not plastic and they feel nice, still trimmed in the door pocket base, basically another how they should have come from the factory. Agree get some dynamat.
  21. Should have really clocked onto the cage but as i said there is more to it then your letting on.
  22. I can hear cheesewire's spanners working on the car already, dumping the now inferior turbo conversion for the "Electric Supercharger Conversion" woo hoo. He knows too much about these already to not be doing it, the secret has been let out
  23. I can only post up after pics as it was Jabba who did the build so i do not have any "during" pics to share.
