I have a K&N and an exhaust with no suitcase silencer on my valver (not my additions, the previous owners) and it made 144bhp with 180k miles on it, so I guess the chav style mods could have helped it?? I agree about the cold air feeds too, at 30mph+there must be a huge volume of air getting into the engine bay without the need for bits of puddle bothering pipe.

whats beating mate ? you collecting money for loan sharks? Nah, nothing that fun. Basically, on pheasant and partridge shoots I'm one of the ferrets who move the birds around and get them to fly over the guns. Only really do it to help friends out, as I can't stand the maority of people found on either side of the gun hedge at most shoots. Get £20 - 25 per day, sometimes free food and drink, all the game I want, and It's pretty good exercise fighting through brambles in the rain. At the end of the year they give the beaters a days shooting, which has given me the opportunity to have a go at some of Britains top partridge shooting without the cost (£25ish/bird). A lot of people will not approve of this, and will probably get certain opinions of my character because I'm involved in field sports, therefore I don't tend to mention it a great deal.

The secret is to find a way to get some cash rolling in, £20 here, £30 there. I went beating today (not to everyones tastes) and have £20 in my pocket, ill be selling a coupel of parts tonight for cash, then got a bar at a 18th birthday party to run in at the start of December. Whatever I make off these will be what I live off for the next 6 weeks basically.

Did you run the install program that came with the cable? I had to let my laptop search the internet for the drivers and it was fine after, think there's 2 drivers it needs to download too. Just had an interesting hour with an auto electrician comparing VAG-COM's and showing him how to use it a bit, and he had a nice cable off ebay that toldd the laptop it was a genuine rosstech jobber and worked with 7.02 fine. And to beat my cable it communicated with my abs without any issues, well apart from the multitude of errors on the ABS but still... Deviant, it's unlikely vag com will give you much help with the 9a, the ecu is far to primative to give you any decent information.

What model of car have you? I can probably supply a second hand one. Would want you to collect it though as I imagine posting it would be a pain.
