    Clutch bleeding

It won't, the pedal is spring loaded. You have to pull it up after pressing it down, once bled, and the pedal is pulled up for the final time it will work properly. Don't know about the elbow though....
  3. Yes for sure buddy!! When I can finally get onto it I'll give you a shout, will you be bringing the VR? I'll have to have a go in that too, I've forgotten what a proper sports car should feel like :D Pete keeps making me drive around in his family four door saloon. :D LOL. Yeah will do. Spoke to Pete earlier, hope to pop over and say hello this weekend while he's around, so a drive in a proper car might not be far away.
  4. As if I'm going to forget that! Have you seen my thread recently?... :) Delicious Tits.
  5. No problem! I was wondering what was occuring with the Storm. Cheers Andy!
  6. I've still got piles of parts to move/sell, and the scrappers to get rid of. Don't get completely lost in the car! Tits > Cars. Don't forget... :) Sorry I've not called you back since the other night. Will pull my finger out my bum, I promise! If you could let me know how much a set of Red Stuffs for a Mk3 VR (late - 288mm disks) are, I'd be grateful. Cheers! I've got an Eibach rear ARB, and standard front. Got Konis and Pi springs on too.
  7. Cheers guys  Mic, you've not been slack. I've been useless at everything else for the last 2 months. This car completely consumed me for ages. I've been rubbish with mates, forgotten to do all sorts etc. Being a hideous loner meant I could get away with it. But you might have been looking at a rather rapid divorce... Anyway, been exploring the car a bit, 160 miles in to our relationship... Not 100% on the brakes, might look for some better pads, and rebleed them again... Tyres have scrubbed in, and ARB is awesome... Took it for a really hard run last night with my mate Lucie in the car (and she had a go with it) went well, clung to the road nicely, but sadly managed to get a large chip in the windscreen when I met a car which flung a stone up. Anyway... these things happen. :) Took Snowflake out for a very quick run tonight and really felt the benefit of the ARB on a roundabout. It is amazing. Nothing else to say really. :) Hopefully I'll get the chip fixed this weekend.
  8. Fancy a hand some time? Would love to pop over and see how you're getting on with it. :D

I really really like the Yellow plates... When are you going to take her for a blast into Germany then?
  10. Do like the mats. Are they JustMatz ones? I've picked up a second hand set to destroy in the VR for the time being, but might keep my eye out for a new set at a show next year.
  11. Just recieved an email alerting me to this thread. :)
  12. Doesn't work at all? I had mine out by a little way, and it did work, just it opened it by an inch rather than closed it etc. I used a spare motor to move the roof to the right position, then put the motor back in. Otherwise you could manually wind the roof to the parked position, remove your motor, and hit the switch to park it, then reinstall it. That wasn't well worded was it?
  13. Bloody hell, didn't expect this sort of interest. Cheers Walesy. I am pleased with it. The paintwork is by far the weakest of the things I've done to it so far, and that really showed up after it had rained a bit today. Well..... Up early to collect the car to take to work, and the first thing I see is the ABS light stuck on. :mad2: VAGCOM woudn't clear it either, so I was prepared to take the wiring out the back of the light when I got into work. As soon as I got there it magically cleared itself. :D Took it to the MOT bay at 8.15 and they started straight away. I sat there watching for the entire process and became more and more nervous, especially when they spent a lot of time around the compensator valve, and fiddling with one rear wheel with a slightly binding caliper. I was most nervous about the emissions, especially as the dubious running continued. After an hour of fiddling and prodding and nudging, the tester came over and told me it had passed! No advisories, and he was massively complimentary about the car and the condition of it. :D Took it for a run up to Micheldever tyres where they reset the camber and tracking and put the steering wheel on straight (which I didn't expect from them....) The drive home was great. The tracking had been so far out that the car had felt awful to drive, but now it's got a nice weight to the steering and it self centres happily. She seems to pull well despite the idling problems, and made short work of a couple of cars driven by doddery old people on the way home. Nipped in to the post office and picked up 6 months tax (£104.50 :( ) so I've spent about £220 today.... And now I'm going to go out and just drive the car, find out what it's really like, get the brakes bedded in, and look at the firmness of the suspension. :)
  14. They're great aren't they. Corrados are pretty good too. :D Seeing your car back together is spurring me on dude. Next summer is gonna be pretty cool with a rebuilt corrado to run around in. :) I prefer them to corrados to be fair. Good. Always nice to have something to encourage you. There will be dark days ahead though... You'll have to come out for a go in the VR at some point.
  15. It's different up close, got a lot more paint needed here and there, and a good session with a mop to get rid of the old oxidised paint. The calipers are stodgy already with various chips knocked off them and a nice polished line on one front wheel where the weighs hit it. Nevermind.... Can always repaint them. :)
  16. Cheers! I'm really pleased with the juxtaposition of the moonroof and paint. I've not noticed the light glowing since putting the front end on. Might be something like the reversing lights suddenly springing to life....

    Spoiler sticking!!

Have you looked at this thread?
  18. Good work Lesley. All round good work. I do love t*ts. :)
  19. :) Beigey was on at me to paint them yesterday... I've got 4 presents for you sat in the shed....  You love the meat. Don't pretend you don't Sally. Yeah, I am pleased. Hopefully the issues will resolve themselves as it gets run in. Was all ready to sort the reverse lights this evening, and they magically started working again! MOT is 8.30 tomorrow, and the MOT centre is in the yard where I work, so I'll take the car in to work with me in the morning. Washed it again and took some more photos tonight...
  20. :) Cheers dude. Hopefully it'll be suitable for you.... :D Can you drop me a text about what meat you require for tomorrow? Ride is chuffing firm though. :( I softened the Konis a bit more this afternoon after hitting a bump at 40 which nearly caused my spine to collapse. Need to remove the masking tape from the bump strips and side repeater, looks silly in the pictures, but I keep forgetting...
  21. If you want to pump P/S fluid round the system, you can use an electric drill to drive the pump. :)
  22. :) Sounds good. Would be good to catch up sometime soon. Cheers! To be honest, it's come together quite quickly, I'm sure if you had all the bits ready, you could turn a corrado around in no time at all. Cheers Dan! Sorry I've not been in touch enough recently. Been concentrating all my efforts on the car for the last few weeks. :) Cheers! did manage to remove a load of paint from one of them while grinding the wheel weights down so they missed the brake caliper earlier on. :( I think once i've sorted that one and washed all the tyre soap off the rims they'll look spot on. Also used the paint on the aerial base. Looks like new now. Not sure how long it will last, but it was better than paying £80 for a new one.
  23. Put it back together for the MOT tuesday, it'll have to come apart again to fit the last feww bits I've got for it though. :( Had running issues today, think the MAF is knackered, and I can't get the reverse lights to work. :bad-words: Pics...
